but I don’t think that withdrawing from the world is the correct reaction to the unsurprising observation that virtually all governments do lots of bad things.
Perhaps not withdraw, but the Church should NOT trust any of these governments. Recent history: USCCB worked with Obama on healthcare, then Obama ended up suing Little Sisters of the Poor to force them to violate their conscious

No one should ever trust any government, really, but I think that the Church should definitely be working with governments and international entities to work toward common goals.

Working toward common goals, with eyes wide open that those governments will lie to them. I do think our religious leaders are a bit naive and overly trusting of people who support evil / immoral laws and have no compunction about lying about anything.
 
Is the NCR showing bias here? I was hopeful that they were fairly bias free.
 
I hope that the N.C.R. continues reporting newsworthy items and does not seek to hide things that some may wish others to be in ignorance of, personally.
