I am not having a hard time at all, thanks very much, considering a Cardinal is going on trial for alleged crimes in my , I repeat my, Diocese.
What I am saying is , you guys in USA, not Chile because they are dealing with their experience themselves you guys in USA,
Need a proper thorough formal enquiry. You also need to realise it’s not just priests who perpetrated these crimes,
And let the law deal with it. And the Pope.
Running stories and articles like this just fuels hate and anti catholic sentiment.
Read the article,
Sensational words like this
“The revelations about Archbishop Theodore McCarrick’s shocking sexual misconduct have rightfully shattered Catholic Americans’ confidence in the collective leadership that has been provided by their own bishops.”
See this passage
“While Pope Francis has rightly emphasized the need to respect the dignity of persons with same-sex attraction, he also has repeatedly warned that men with deep-seated homosexual inclinations should not enter seminaries or supervise the education of future priests. But a parallel campaign in Rome and elsewhere appears to be fueling moral confusion and complacency at the very moment that the new clergy-abuse scandals in the Church point to a need for moral clarity and vigilance.”
Where’s the proof of this parallel campaign, and elsewhere. Smacks of medieval suspicion to me, cabals of confusion and secrecy. Sentences like this are meant to whip up anti catholic leadership thought, and anti church thought. People read them and think this is rife universally at a huge magnitude, it’s not.
