I’ve been invited to attend a retreat and would really like to go. The thing is, that it’s probably run by members of the controversial movement I mentioned in my thread “Priest in a Cult?” forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=209500&highlight=priests+cult
I followed the advice given there and wrote an email to the Bishop. He replied by assuring me “that the priests are in good standing in the Archdiocese” and suggested I speak with the Pastor.
Well they’re leaving in two days for this retreat and I don’t really know if I should go or not. This website misionvirgendelpozo.org/advertencia.html (in spanish) talks about this movement and tells others not to participate in retreats sponsered by them.
I really feel I need some rest from the world but I don’t know if it would be wrong for me to attend. If I go, I’ll make sure to be on the lookout for any suspicions and I plan to talk to one of my parish’s priests about this soon, or one of the nuns. I’ve met the sisters and they seem like great people but with all this, I’m not sure what to think or whether or not I should get involved.
