You have a point there.I think if essential oils cured baldness there would be a whole lot fewer balding men in the world. Just my opinion.
So then all the claims we read about are all bogus?

Well of course . Everything is dangerous if used in the wrong way ,even carrot juice , even RELIGION ,but people still follow blindly .The same goes for opium and coca.
If an herbal preparation is strong enough to be medicinal, it’s strong enough to cause harm, and with any medicine, one should be concerned about dosages.
Oil of wintergreen is very, very dangerous.
“The oil is UNSAFE to take by mouth. Taking wintergreen oil or large amounts of wintergreen leaf can cause ringing in the ears, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, stomach pain, and confusion.”
“Children: Wintergreen leaf and oil can be poisonous for children. Taking 4-10 mL of wintergreen oil by mouth can be deadly. Don’t even use wintergreen oil on the skin of children less than 2 years old.”
webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-783-wintergreen.aspx?tiveingredientid=783&activeingredientname=wintergreen
4 mL is NOTHING–it would be so easy to fatally overdose a child.
I wouldn’t say they’re all bogus.You have a point there.

One really cannot assume common sense on the internet.Well of course . Everything is dangerous if used in the wrong way ,even carrot juice , even RELIGION ,but people still follow blindly .
What I said there , was in reaction to me being 'reported for telling someone who was ill , how certain very precise oils and one herb had made my health much better .
It was in context . I always think, in context .
I would always advise someone only to go to a reputable shop etc. . Being cautious is good , being in denial is not .
I think that there is a cultural thing here . I would never ever give this kind of thing to a child ,I don’t know anyone who would .We are very cautious, and use oils externally ,and herbal teas internally .
Just for fun:I would be happy to give you advice! Save your money.
There are very few miracle or quick cures for anything. I’m sure we could make a list of all the cures that were going to solve all of our problems over the last 50 years:
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Vitamin D (currently en-vogue)
Acai berries
blueberries
Kale
Zinc
coconut oil - while I think has many good uses - doesn’t cure everything
fish oil
Chondroitin
the entire concept of homeopathy
chelation therapy
anything with magnets
Green coffee extract
leaches
blood letting
And just to bring things full circle - Snake Oil
I know there are more but this is what I came up with off the top of my head.
Of course not, nor will it ever. It sure has done wonders though! Life prior to antibiotics was pretty miserable for a lot more people. And yet modern medicine and antibiotics have cured everything.![]()
Thank you THP!I would be happy to give you advice! Save your money.
