Pariah Pirana:
And not a single one of them directs the faithful NOT to assume the orans position or the holding of hands…
And you are right because most Vatican directive tell that which we should do.
I was just sent this list of documents from my Uncle’s office which shows how many documents has to do with our behavior and that of a priest.
You can say that a document doesn’t state something, but if you can’t find a reference to that action in any of these, it should not be done.

Net,

You are quoting something besides Collaboration–please reference.

If this is not a liturgical document, then it is still an unofficial interpretation.
See post 60.

The GIRM referenced is outdated—it has been superceded by the 2002.

The other documents are also quite old—Given Pope Benedict’s love & support of the movements, I doubt he will ban the orans position or raising hands, which are very common in Charismatic worship.

However none of these quotes are from the GIRM

Old still counts and there is no need for B16 to ban anything, only enforce.

I repeat

And I repeat as well, all he has to do is enforce the rules already there.
There’s no need to repeat, I got what you said the first time, otherwise I wouldn’t have replied.

B16 is not going to turn away any Catholic. He is not going to stop a Charistmatic mass. I feel this is a good thing.
However, the institutional Catholics are going to see a change in the liturgy, one way or another. Young priests are more conservative and are correcting the liturgy.

I think that it’s a great thing to have Charistmatic Catholics. I think that it is not appropriate to make any of your gestures and prayer postures the total norm for a mass. That is not what the Vatican wants.

It’s good to see that your tone has lightened on these threads. Times are changing. And I agree with you, B16 is not going to ban those postures, he has bigger problems, but a Leaner church could well be a more conservative church.

My tone has not changed–you have just stopped the silly ridicule, now you just need to work on the offensive remarks.

Oh Mysty, that beam is still in your eye as well.
Maybe we both have something to work on.

I am sorry I responded to your last post.

Do us both a favor and stop remarking on my feelings. You have no way of knowing them.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand. What feelings?
