When I have a daughter I want to name her Maria Kathleen. You are free to steal my idea if you wish. It’s a pretty name.

Thank you all for your help. Our current short list is Rachel, Abigail, and Esther. I have no clue when we are going to finalize our choice.

Teresa Victoria… I think that’s really pretty. Your other girls names are beautiful!

Mary Victoria, Mary Regina (Regina means queen), magdalen rose

Let us know what you decide!! Good luck!
It may mean “Queen,” but kids are cruel, and once they realize that her middle name rhymes with a female body part, she will be teased unmercifully.

No “Regina.”

I don’t think you pronounce that name or that body part the same way I do. I think Regina is a lovely name. It’s very formal so it’s likely to be shortened to Gina, Ginny, or Reggie when she’s young, but I still say it’s a good one. I also don’t agree with the other poster that naming your child Bertha makes them fat. The only person I never new named Bertha was a girl I went to school with who kind of turned out skinny and a little skanky. We called her Bertie for short, so maybe that’s what made the difference.

Ohhhhh…Maybe you’re right. I am married to a Brit so I hear that name, “Reej-EYE-na.” I am still not sure about it…

No offense to British people, but I think that’s silly. Regina is a Latin word and there’s no sense in deliberately mispronouncing it. (Especially since doing so makes it sound like genitalia.) Regina makes me think of Regina Caeli, which is Queen of Heaven and refers to our Blessed Mother. I think it’s a lovely name.

My birth name ( before I was given up for adoption) was Judith Simone and I was born on October 28, the feast day for St. Jude and St. Simon. I think it’s a really neat name! 🙂

My favorite biblical name for a little girl is Abigail. It’s also the name of my favorite historical figure…Abigail Adams, our second first lady!

My daughter would have been Abigail if hubby didn’t veto it. 😦

Oh well, I’m hoping we keep having baby girls until he gives in! 😃

I love Abigail Rose…or Abigail Victoria.

Keep the theme of the British throne!

Since my wife didn’t like the idea of giving our baby the first name of Sister and the middle name of Mary Agnes we are going with Abigail Clare. Thank you all for your help.
