Need Prayer for a Couple of Dear Friends

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
 
Please , please keep on praying for these two friends of mine. His wife wrote a very emotional letter. It sounded like she was giving up. They went to Retrouville Marriage last weekend and now they have follow up with future meets as it’s counseling ministry but he refuses to go anymore. He’s a good guy and a Catholic but a little misguided as far as priorities. I for one will start a Novena for them, but please do what you can …thanks and God bless .

Dear Ferdy,
I think it is truly dear that you are praying for them so hard. I will pray for them right here in a few minutes. My husband of 15 yrs. and I are going through this same thing only our four children are ages 3-9 and are very upset about the separation. We were once a very close knit family. I call upon the Blessed Mother daily.

Thank you for the kind comments and thank you for extra prayer power 🙂 They have two teenage daughters, and to tell the truth I’m mostly close to the husband as we have been friends for more 30 yrs now… I know his thought processes on most issues which is why I am so intuitive in this case. He’s really a good guy and I hate to see him make a huge mistake by breaking up and starting all over. Marriage as I hear it is a real commitment, and our emotions if they aren’t there any more doesn’t mean they weren’t there to begin with ( which is what he believes ) . I don’t know what he’s planning to do but whatever it is he’s searching for the way out. I know if God would take him to the woodshed and smack some sense into him…he would at least know where he stands with God on this matter. Thank you for praying my friends. Sorry for rambing 😉

God knows the way to handle this, and his grace abounds. Praying that your friends will each be able to understand the path God is providing them, that they may live up to their vows the best possible way, and so honor God.

I think the evil one has poisioned robertos thinking and all he sees is the bad in our marriage. he also is telling himself that “the girls wll be ok”.

he thinks I will be ok with not having the girls with me. that it crazy. it would kill me to not have my girls. they need us both and they need us together.

hes forgetting that god calls us to love and to forgive each other our wrong doings and move on.

please keep on praying for him.

Well, my prayer friends, they still need lots of prayer. Any advice? My mother suggests a "brief " separation but I only know that it will give him what he wants…distance…Anyway, I need some advice as she tells me he’s become an angry partner whenever they talk about bills…They have enough money though. Anyway, the wife is doing the sacramentals and praying before the Blessed Sacrament more often and trying not to confront him in an argument. Anyway, without getting between them, this is as far as I can go. Can anyone help? Thanks
