Not sure if this is the best place to post this but I don’t know where else to do it.
I am currently doing research in an effort to publish a book on the archdiocese of Kingston (In Ontario Canada). There is a small church in one of the small towns of the archdiocese. The name of it is St. Linus (located in Bath, Ontario) During my research I found out that a “entreprising woman” collected all the money needed to purchase the land and build the church. I have tried without success to find the name of this woman. I know the year the church opened was 1869 but I don’t know the month or day. This makes researching old newpapers difficult. Does anyone have any information regarding the date it opened or any idea of how to get this information.
