Well. I came back to my room today to find that some one had written “Lol. What?” on my white board. I wasn’t really frustrated or upset about that untill I realized they had written this in permanent marker and made slash marks over what I had written (I can do all things through Him who strengthens me). They were small and granted I didn’t see these untill I had erased what I wrote but I am still discouraged some one tried to mark out what I wrote. I tried to get the markings off as best I could, and then I put a new verse up (Phil. 4:4-7). 🤷 I’m more than a little frustrated… but thanks for all the help, I won’t let this stop me!
You might want to put this up next as a cool response to the vandalism - and an unfazed statement of your intentions! 😉

“People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”

Honestly, as an older student, I resent your biased remarks about St. Edwards. I think it is uncharitable to say the ‘Enemy’ is working at a school that has taught and given me so much. Do you want to go to a school where everyone thinks the same as you? The school is diverse. They don’t hide the fact that only about 40% of the students who attend identify as Catholic. The school (thankfully) does not require that professors who teach identify as Catholic, but instead that they be qualified.

It doesn’t appear to me that you’ve spoken with any faculty about your concerns yet. Do it. You’re in college. Be brave; you won’t survive in the real world if you don’t.
I would rather the teachers at my college teach THE TRUTH rather than simply be qualified to teach. If they aren’t teaching truth, why lend your good name to such an institution? Any university that openly endorses abortion is not teaching the truth. Read the entirety of Psalm 139, (written by King David) but in particular verses 13-16.

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

College girl: I am a student at one of the most liberal, secular universities in the country, in the world, in New York City. It isn’t easy. I believe this an opportunity for me to bring Christ’s light into the darkness for those who do not know Him…which you are obviously doing.

Another verse for you: John 14:6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Well done ; keep it up but maybe you need a small permanant board with the quote " get behind me satan " above the daily verses 👍

Even though this is from an evangelical translation, it should appeal to any college aged, um, guy.

2 Kings 9:20 (New International Version, ©2011)

The lookout reported, “He has reached them, but he isn’t coming back either. The driving is like that of Jehu son of Nimshi—he drives like a maniac.”

Sorry.

Well for what it is worth, at least you know someone is paying attention. You are having an impact. Another small favor you can thank God for is that Christianity is not (yet) illeagal so you cannot be leagally prosecuted (even if you are illeagally persecuted).

Keep fighting the Good Fight.

Patrick.
