haastiin, Thanks for the link for the Jerusalem Bible. I read the Bible while I play audio at the same time. I have ADHD and I need lots of tricks to keep my focus. I really appreciate it. I’ll say prayers for you! GBY :tiphat:

Understood. That’s one reason I have my hand in 20 different things at once … including the Bible. I’d like to offer another resource. It is one of the best Bible-study sites I’ve used in years. bible.cc/

Multiple translations, concordances, study tips, Bible study tools, reading plans, The home page is biblos.com/. Careful though! You know how we can focus in on something with intense concentration? Yep, you could be tooling around in this site for hours before you realize what happened! 😃 Peace be with you. Happy hunting!

Go to your Profile > Group Memberships > Prayer Warrior > Join Group

I’ll approve your request, then voila! You are a CAF Prayer Warrior!
Now wasn’t that easy? 😃

Please pray for my family, especially my daughter and another family (they lost a child). We have all had a traumatic experience, but in the end, my daughter really needs your prayers for a miracle in this desparate situation which may last weeks. St. Jude, pray for us!

I will keep your adult children in my daily prayers… I have adult children who are estranged from their faith so I know how sad it is for parents.! Cenzia
 
Sorry, I was offline for a week. Offer my prayers every day for all the intentions on this forum. I am praying especially for adult children who are estranged from the Church. My family is in the same situation, so please pray for us too. Godspeed. Will check in soon. We have just finished a big move so it is a bit busy right now!

God bless you SGail. Right now I’m changing computers so I’m a bit of a tizzy trying to find everything.
I continue to pray for your family and all families like ours who are falling away from our Church.
My Sister Barb (can’t remember if I asked for prayers) has been in hospital since mid July with a bad heart and gangrene which is taking away all her toes and maybe a bit more. She has a temporary heart pump to pump her heart. She will be put on the heart transplant list when she is healthy from all the surgeries. She’s 47 and has a 12 year old and a 15 year old with special needs and a great husband. Any prayers would be so appreciated.

Since you are new members, I thought I would let you know that you can go to the Prayer Intentions forum itself and add a new thread entirely for your prayer request.

It is fine to use this NEEDED: Prayer Warriors thread as a general place to ask for prayers, but if you create your own thread you can make your request known to more people, and probably get more prayers.

Just wanted to let you know! It is up to you.

Holy Mary help us in all our needs, pray for all the people of God; may all experience your perpetual help.

That is a REAL appeal, I get you one time I was a bit active but joining the Seminary somehow cut me off but now that I have acquired laptop for myself I am really going to do my best.
May the good Lord help us pray as He desires us to and may He keep you safe for His Kingdom.🙂

Be sure you take the necessary technical steps. Here are some earlier instructions.
You will need to follow the instructions below, passed along by other users. When you are done, you may need to wait a few days (sometimes a couple weeks) before you will see “Prayer Warriors” under your user name. In the mean time you can still post in the prayer intentions thread, and PRAY.

On the top of the screen where it says, “Home, Search, Groups, Members, Profile,” etc., click on Profile. Then on the left-hand side of the screen you will see a panel that says, “Your Control Panel.” On this panel, click on “Group Memberships,” NOT “Social Groups.” (They are both underneath where it says “Networking”.) From there it will show you Group Memberships you can join, Greeter, Prayer Warrior, etc. and click on the button to request to join the Prayer Warriors.

I don’t know why it is taking THAT long.

I know I gave you instructions on applying before, but perhaps you could U]double check your application: select Profile (on the top Catholic Answers bar), and then Control Panel, and then Group Memberships down the page on the left (do not select Social Groups)

This should bring up a page that has two sections on the right side:
  1. The following groups are available for you to join:
If Prayer Warriors appears in THIS list, you need to click on the circle “Join Group” AND then click on the BUTTON “Join Group”.
  1. You are a member of the following groups
If Prayer Warriors appears in THIS list you may just need to wait longer to get Prayer Warriors under your name. Unfortunately I don’t have any control over this. I don’t know if there is someone we could ask… It is frustrating. Sorry for just repeating my directions.

Thanks, it looks like I fall under options 2 listed above ( a member of prayer warriors); just have to wait until the title “prayer warrior” appears, it is taking a very long time.

I asked about why it takes so long to get verified (on another thread under Help/Staff Chat), and they just answered:

So I guess you just need to have patience and keep praying without the title!
 
Thanks, I will continue to do so; an idea around this delay is to sign off with the title “prayer warrior” for now; until it gets updated.
