Hi! I would like to learn how to pray for other’s prayer request but don’t know how to go about 😊 Do I have to be somewhere together with others to pray together or can I pray on my own for the person’s prayer request? How does it works? Please advice 😊
You can pray however you wish, but the way most people on this forum do it is to simply paste a prayer into a post in a prayer intention thread, and then just say the prayer to themselves in the moment. Simple. 😉

:signofcross: Become a Prayer Warrior! :signofcross:

Do you have a few minutes a week you could dedicate to prayer for the intentions of fellow CAF members? If so, you can be one of our Prayer Warriors!

All we ask is that you post in the Prayer Intentions Forum at least once weekly and that you pay particular attention to those prayer requests which have not received many responses.

Here are the steps you need to take to become a Prayer Warrior

Go to your Profile > Group Memberships > Prayer Warrior > Join Group

I’ll approve your request, then voila! You are a CAF Prayer Warrior!
Now wasn’t that easy? 😃
Looking forward to seeing you join, and to those who have already joined: THANK YOU!
Sorry i would but i don’t get online enough, but i will say a Hail Mary for everyone each time i hop on. God bless

I had difficulty in signing up for Prayer Warrior.

Please help me.
Did you try to follow the directions in post #5 in this thread?

If so, let us know exactly what steps you took and where you got stuck.

If you finished the steps just fine, but don’t see “Prayer Warrior” under your user name, that is because it can take 2 or more weeks for final approval. I don’t have any control over that.

I tried to join the group. I found it confusing. While I understand that it is a moderated group and have no problem with that, I don’t understand the point of having to go to different pages and click on this or that button. I don’t know when or if I’ll be accepted- if you want to review my posts you can. I don’t know if the title will be put under my user name or who will put it there. 🤷

If you applied already, just wait, and keep praying!

I’m just curious, how long does it usually take for a person to be approved as a prayer warrior? I requested mine 4-6 days ago.

I have signed up as a prayer warrior but I now can’t find the forum to post prayers apart from the prayer intentions. Am I missing something?

Before now I never joined any other group. I just did what it says in the first post in this thread:
“All we ask is that you post in the Prayer Intentions Forum at least once weekly and that you pay particular attention to those prayer requests which have not received many responses.”
In fact there is also a group that only Prayer Warriors can join (it is purely optional)
CAF Prayer Warriors Support Group
Group created by James_OPL
This group is for All who are members of the CAF Prayer Warriors. A place to talk, share prayers, ideas or to vent frustrations from the days events.
All I ask is that what is discussed here stays confidential to the group for reasons of others privacy. It is a moderated group and you must be a member to view the contents of the group, and you will need to be approved to join. So be sure the “Prayer Warrior” logo is visible by your name.So all you Warriors out there come on in and talk and get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ. Lets all grow together in prayer and good works !
I just joined this group (waiting for approval). Maybe using it will help me fulfill my promise to pray more regularly in the Prayer Intentions thread.

Thank you for the invitation.
YES please.
I wish to be one. I hope to become one sooner or later.
In Christ and Mary

What a blessing…where our presence means the most for others…in prayer.

Is it okay if I PM Klara about my request to become a prayer warrior? It’s been more than a week I think since I requested.

If you have entered your request, your case is being evaluated. Sometimes it takes several weeks for it to be confirmed.

I requested to be a prayer warrior a week ago and still have not recieved a okay. Did I do it right?

Be sure you followed the technical instructions in post #5.

After that it can take a few weeks to get Prayer Warrior under your name (that’s the only OK you’ll get). You can pray and post in Prayer Intentions just as well without being a Prayer Warrior. Being a Prayer Warrior is just a promise to pray once a week, and lets people know that you’ve made that promise.

I guess I’ve been rejected as it’s been six weeks with no reply?! I went through the steps several times to ensure that I requested correctly. I’m confused at this point.😦

I’m trying to understand, but I don’t. I try to be a good Catholic, to be prayerful, but I often meet up with so much hostility and mean-spiritedness that it’s draining and hurtful. This rejection really doesn’t help.

I’ve been prayerfully discerning whether I should continue visiting CAF as there’s been so much negativity and forum rules are often bent if not broken, and my time could be better spent. :sad_yes: There are some very nice people here, and I hope to occasionally keep in touch.

You find a lot of negativity on the forum threads?

You find a lot of negativity on the forum threads?
Yes I do. There were some negative posts about Pope Francis on the day he was elected which I found inappropriate. There were strange accusations levelled at him even that he’s a Mason. One woman started a thread on how disappointed she was that the Conclave always elects an old man and even went so far as to label the Papacy an “old man’s club.”

There have been a lot of mean posts about Cardinal Dolan as well, which upset me. One poster even lamented that he couldn’t say what he really wanted to because of forum rules. I thought he’d said to much already.

There have been threads I’ve followed that get very preachy in a mean sort of way like the threads about Papal Coronation- those who were on favour of the idea weren’t treated well at all. But all those people were simply voicing their love for the Church and the Papacy.

There have been many threads questioning the legitimacy of the Catechism, the Novus Ordo, Vatican II, the morality of sex outside of marriage, etc. Some threads were closed by a moderator, but others weren’t.

Then there have been threads of people relating personal visions and the like. Forum rules don’t allow this but people find ways to post anyway. Also, there have been some trolls lately.

Now I understand that we’re all sinners, that mistakes will be made and that some negative posts are par for the course, but come on.
