Prayer is always good. Maybe try to strike up a conversation with them to make friends with them. Heroin addicts, or recovering as teh case may be, have a heavy corss to bare, any help you give could make or break them. Its also a heavy burden on you!

But, it could always be worse, my previous abode was a flat in a block of flats.

On my left was a woman who had night terrors involving the most horrific profanities known to man.

Beneath me to the left were two people who would engage in pre-martial relations rather loudly, and a lot.

I know its not chartiable, but the woman on my right I’m pretty sure was a "lady of the night.

Beneath me to the right was a man who would play John Denver at 4 in the morning while he loudly… um… “committed sins against chastidy”.

In the building next to the building I lived in was a rather nasty dog that would roam and poop at will where it wanted.

IN the building behind me was a lot of drunken students, who one night, two of which banged on my door at 3 in the morning constantly, they were lost and thought my place was their place.

The best neighbours I’ve ever had - a rather rough gang. They dont’ poop where they eat. Very polite to me too. 🙂

Edit Hah, just noticed how old this is. Hope yo’ve had some luck with your neighbours, OP.

Sounds like if you can’t move, you should invest in a good set of ear plugs. 😉

As there was always one pest to replace another;i’ve got the police involved. The offenders are acting out of character;so a probe must have begun.
👍 That’s certainly a step forward. 🙂

The landlord has stipulated that the next-door tenant cannot have lodgers,so things have quietened somewhat;over the past year.An eviction was imminent before Christmas, but as the tenant’s mum had died;he was reprieved.Happens I knew her partner;an old pal of mine from years ago.The lodger slips back periodically;doesn’t pester much but still remains a threat to return to old habits. The UK drugs laws have softened, because of prison overcrowding;in favour of fines.Unfortunately, the politicians who bring about these reforms,do not live in the communities that are suffering.I see now from my experience, that addicts cannot ever fully recover;whatever treatment programme they’re on,they still like to dabble. If they want stuff from me now;they have to do a job/errand in return. They are shunned by most others in the community;they want to be loved.I’m not completely content with the situation, but it is less of a strain than before.

All was peaceful, until two ‘recovering’ Heroin-addicts;moved in next-door.They’re always pestering for food. They’ll knock until you answer. Are they ever ‘recovered’? Anyone got a similar problem?
Everything happens for a reason. Pray about the best way to be a witness.
