By raise of hands, who can read a 6.8 pt font? 😃 😃 😃
the font size is the only reason I went with the Angelus Missal.

The content of both the Baronius and the Angelus is virtually indistinguishable.

I will admit though that I think the Baronius has a better cover and feels better when handling it. Maybe because it’s a little smaller in size. not much, but noticeable.

I have the Baronius Missal and the one from Angelus Press (SSPX). Both are very good, and recently I find myself using the Baronius one more. I wouldn’t have included the luminous(sp?) mysteries in the section about the rosary, but that certainly wasn’t going to be a reason for me to not but the otherwise excellent Baronius Missal.

As long as we are voicing opinions about these two editions- I figured I’d chime in. I started off with an Angelus Press missal right when it was released. Shortly after that when Baronius released theirs, I ordered one out of curiousity. I loved it so I eventually sold my Angelus Press one on ebay. After a time, I started to miss my Angelus missal. So now I have found my self purchasing another Angelus Missal (this time I got the leather one) I love it. What a treasure. Now my Baronius missal is collecting dust.

The Baronius missal is very “stubby”. Smaller and fatter than the Angelus. Almost too fat. I quoted timjp77 above because I don’t believe that the differences between the two are indistinguishable. The order of mass is much better laid out and more beautiful in the Angelus than the Baronius. Not to mention the commentary included in the Angelus. It is priceless. As mentioned in former posts, the font size of the Angelus is larger. The Latin text of the Baronius is very small. I have very good eyes but it is still annoying to have print that small. The Baronius does not include the Sacraments like the Angelus, which is nice to read sometimes.

Again, just my two cents.
MAX

The SSPX do know how to get it right, don’t they?
