I am so sad to see this priest go :crying:, Bishop-elect Provost gave the best homilies and his bible studies were fantastic. I learned so much from him. He was a great orthodox priest and I am sure that this bishop is one to look out for.

Well I for one am very very glad we’ve got him as a bishop. I’m sure he’ll make a fine bishop for Lake Charles, and I’m certain that LC isn’t the only place the pope will appoint him to. His parish sounds like a really great parish - the music looks top-notch in terms of Gregorian chant, Latin, and traditional hymns. I hope he does the same things here and at the cathedral.

If you would like an Easter treat this year go to Easter Vigil Mass. The entire Tridium (not sure if thats right, the three days) is wonderful but I love the Easter Vigil Mass. It is the most beautiful mass I have ever seen, smelled and heard. I desribed it to my father, last year and he said it reminded him of a High Holy Mass. Im not sure what that means because all I know is the standard New Order, but it was truly moving and awe inspiring.

PS If you do go to his masses, could you please do me a favor? 😃 In his sermons he usually mentions the book he is currently reading , I would be forever greatful if you just email me the names of the books/authors he mentions, they are usually fascinating reads. Thanks even if you dont.

Currently the Diocese of Shreveport doesnt have a Bishop. I hope we get one as good as that one

I have thought about going just to see what he’s like; after all, it’s only about an hour’s drive, but recently they started construction on I-10. Anyways my father went there (Our Lady of Fatima) with his family when he was growing up. That was in the 70s though. I think I may have gone there for Mass because he wanted to show me what it was like, but I honestly have absolutely no memories of either the Mass or who the priest celebrating Mass was.

If I go I will let you know what I hear in his homily.
