Not likely a “senior advisor”. This “revelation” is just too ludicrous to be believed, and is substantiated by nothing.
And why is that person (if there is one) qualified to judge whether Trump is “amoral” or not? And why are you?
When it comes to things Christian, Trump has done more things favorable to Christianity in the year and a half since he took office than Obama did in eight. Obama, in fact, took hits at Christianity whenever the opportunity presented, e.g., the Little Sisters case and the Hosana Tabor case and the disqualification of Chatholic Charities for services to human trafficking victims. And so far, nobody has caught Trump calling the Catholic Church “backward” or “medieval” like the DNC did, or demand that the Church change its views of abortion like Clinton did.
The sanctimony of the left is not the same thing as Christianity.

Now, if we plug Trump into the above, I think the point is made, and for one to justify so many of these actions that fit into what Trump has repeatedly said and done, then his/her actions of justifying evil also have to be classified as being evil. No one is without doing some evil, no doubt, so I supposed the next shoe to drop is someone trying to defend Trump’s words and actions by saying “We all sin”. Yes, we do, but some do so much more than others, so we must be clear not to fall for such false equivalencies. Hitler and Mother Theresa both sinned, but they are simply not the same type of person.

Now, maybe Pope Francis was not questioning Trump’s religious faith, but Trump evidently thought he was. If Pope Francis was doing it, then Trump was right. If Pope Francis didn’t mean it that way, then Trump was wrong.
So which was it?

You really don’t think that’s true, do you? Roe v Wade has been confirmed by other later cases. If the basis for electing Trump was overturning Roe v Wade, then that’s got to be one of the most misguided reasons for voting for a president I can think of.niceatheist:

Your dishonesty on this is noted, as I had predicted in my previous post. If you want to defend Trump’s dishonesty, that’s your choice, but it seems rather odd you’d post as such here at a Catholic website.
Jesus said we’d “know them by their fruits”, so we have the full right and obligation to judge what people say and do. I posted scriptures read at mass to show you what’s clearly immoral by Christian standards-- you post nothing that is compatible with the Church’s teachings on this.
To defend anyone’s evil is also evil, and your continued defense of so much of that which Trump has said and done clearly qualifies as such.
Now back to ignoring or not responding to most of what you post, so much of which is the antithesis of what the Church teaches.

I am starting to think some of this is also to distract from the Kavanaugh hearings. Dems are looking very impotent here. They need to protect the senate seats up for election. They need to keep as many eyes off that as possible.
Warren today made some sort statement today about the 25th amendment and Trump. Seems like they are pulling out all the stops for attention.

You’re never gonna get consensus on something like unhinged or embarrassing. You find trump to be that way. I find many of the posters attacking him on this website to be that way. I’ve also found many other political figures to be that way, including our last president. All are just opinions.
