I agree, they made their choice and I made mine. Like you, I didn’t bother to speak to the manager and/or the owner. I doubt it would have made a difference if I had. The one who commented on my FB page is the type that he would put them in his restaurant now just b/c a Catholic found them offensive.

I have patients of all religions. I don’t think it would go over well if I put the anti-whichever religion Chick tracts in my waiting room.
 
A Jack Chick tract that does’nt attack catholism, maybe there’s hope for him yet.😉
 
Is there anything like that in the Catholic Church? Maybe give chick some competition 🙂

Supposedly they started doing that back in the 50s. I’m not an expert in the history of computers, but that just seems way to early. One thing that cracks me up, is that the internal facts and consistency blows away the claims themselves.

This the first I have ever heard of this publication and from a glance at their website I don’t think that there is much for people here to object to. The cartoon was OK, not being familiar with this publications history I am not sure why you would suggest they don’t know what penance is.

To Jack Chick, penance is a type of works-salvation that the Catholic Church (aka Roman Caesars) invented in order to make money and in the process win souls for the devil by convincing them that they’ll go to Purgatory instead of Hell because they’re trusting in their own works rather than Jesus Christ. Even though the penance in this story doesn’t involve the selling of indulgences or otherwise doing the Pope’s bidding, in his other comics he still sees anything that can be called penance as a works-salvation that is detrimental to our relationship with Jesus.

Did you read any of the other tracts?

If not, you should if you want a good laugh. Apparently, somewhere beneath the Vatican there’s a “super computer” with the name of each and every non-Catholic in the world. That’s probably my favorite Jack Chick whopper

No, they take your name from “To Kill” to “Caution” until it is verified that you are a genuine slave of the Pope and not a secret Christian agent bent on destroying the Church from the inside.
