You’re flyin off the cuff!!If you really study the subject, we can reduce emmisions, better our technologies, increase the standard of living, strengthen the economy and become more competative globally all at the same time. The argument that it’s “environment vs economy” is a complete fallacy set up by those with ties to the “old” economy and industries. It is false!
We can really have it all, and the only thing we have to give up is our old state of mind.

How about this; God has already determined it; only the Father knows…remember the Scripture and remember God’s common restraining grace not to mention global warming caused by man is a farce since the greatest/majority “green house gas” is found in the clouds; should we find a way to rid the earth of the clouds? The man-made one may actually increase the clouds, which in turn will bring more rain and thus actually have a cooling effect; God’s wisdom is much higher than man’s and God commanded that we subdue the earth and in countries that don’t; they are called 3rd world.

Who said anything about Cap & Trade ( a policy that just won’t work & will only line the pockets of the rich).
How about simply ending the hefty subsidies & tax-breaks to coal and oil. Why should I pay on April 15th for other people to pollute and kill, not only thru AGW, but thru local pollution, which kills fetuses and causes birth defects, among many other harms. Why should my tax money go to kill fetuses. Where is the Tea Party when you need them? Or, how about a Green Tea Party
?I’d be in favor of a “Fee & Dividend” policy (see here) that puts a fee on every ton of coal or barrel of oil as it comes out of the ground or into port, then ALL the money from that being divied up and given back to all Americans – who could then use that money either to pay for the higher energy bills, or become energy efficient/conservative and reap monetary rewards.
We should not be following at policy-based fake science, but rather science-based policies that we carefully think about, and come up with least-cost or (as with AGW) money-saving solutions.
It’s perfectly okay to oppose Cap & Trade (and socialism & neopaganism, & whatever else might be the boogeyman of the week), while accepting AGW science and trying to come up with other solutions that help rather than harm.

Ahh… we have a Deist in our midst. I would disagree. I think that the actions of mankind also determine the outcome. It’s called free will. What happens after life on Earth, is another matter.
The problem with old fashioned thinking with respect to global warming and pollution is that there is the assumption that these problems are not a part of the cost of using polluting sources of energy.
I disagree. I think that we should consider all of the costs, including pollution. When all costs are taken into account, then the “renewable” sources turn out to be the cheapest ones.

Actually about 95% of scientists think that climate change is happening and 5% don’t. Since usually you can get 10% to be against anything , the odds and the recent weather of 2010 seem to favor the climate change side.Well actually it is the Left, the Liberals, the Socialist, etc. that is taking a few numbers and manipulating into a Theoretical cause to achieve a certain function. As a Chemical Engineer I can tell you all by products can be cleaned up. The people taking a temperature rise over some number of years and setting up a hypothesis as the cause are not looking at it accurately or even looking at other explanations. It is simply being used as a tool to control, regulate and tax populations, so a very small Oligarchy of those in control can skim some profits off the top.
Remember Liberals, Leftist, Corporatist and Socialist are a Command and Control philosophy and they are simply using this as a way to control you and your family while generating billions of dollars for their families. Your being manipulated and had.
Take time to review the Documentary and look at their references, I think you’ll see the fraud.
Remember many of those not believing the climate change scenario also believe that the earth is only 6000 years old and that their ancestors rode dinosaurs to work.
But you can’t dispute the dinosaur thing because that would mean you side with the reality of the world being millions of years old and if you start to believe in actual reality there are a lot of things espoused by the anti-climate change people that have little connection to truth.
As far a some scientists fudging facts to suit their conclusions, the good thing about scientists is that they will call out those that do so. That is why peer review is such an important part of the debate in scientific circles. How many conclusions of the people who are against the concept that pollution by man is negatively impacting our world , could have their conclusions stand up to rigorous inquiry ?
If the dinosaurs were around as recently as the anti climate change group frequently suggests, why aren’t there pictures of them in the caves that have the pictures of mammals over 10,000 years old?
BTW there is a lot of real deep thinking going on in the videos that guy produces.

Cafeteria Catholics – that’s what AGW deniers seem to be. They might (tho I doubt they’re sincere) be anti-abortion (that is, anti-medical-abortion, tho all in favor of aborting fetuses thru generating local pollution), but they sure aren’t pro-life. They are willing to kill not only those mortally impacted by AGW today – mainly poor people – but the unborn for thousands of generations on into the distant future, assuming it is only climate hysteresis in which up to 90% of life on earth will die out over the next 100,000 years, and not runaway warming as on Venus, in which all of life will die out. In the latter case, they would be total earth killers. Genocide is much too mild a term.
Now why are they so bad? Well, because they are worshipping Mightly Mammon, the god whose name is Multinational Frankencorp, to whom they are totally addicted. But Frankencorp is terribly fearful of losing his worshippers to the real God, King of the Universe. So he has fabricated an imaginary bogeyman, the Socialist-Economy-Destroyer (or SED). He has made it so scary that grown men shake in their boots, and fall in obeisance to Mightly Frankencorp, begging him for protection against SED.
AGW denying, Frankencorp worshippers are so scared, they can’t even hear what calmer minds are saying, like how they will have greater freedoms and wealth, if they seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness. They can’t imagine that getting off the grid & driving their EV on alternative power gives them freedom from the Devoil and King Coal. They can’t imagine how they can possible save money by turning off lights not in use, and a myriad of other measures that will save lives on earth.

Come on, you are making it sound as if we would be better off if we weren’t so beholden to the oil and big coal industries.
You also seem to forget all the people working in the pharmaceutical industry who would lose their jobs if all the respiratory illnesses and cancers from environmental causes were decreased. There is a dark side to every bright cloud and you seem to ignore it.

And with more babies born, & born healthy, and more people living longer & healthier…well, we might have to go into a welfare state with so many people and fewer jobs in health care and in rebuilding properties that would have been destroyed by AGW-enhanced severe weather events. Maybe that’s what the people here fear. Maybe that’s their logic.
Only in a sick and dying world with serious harms and problems from AGW (and other problems caused by the same actions that contribute to AGW) – a killer musical chairs world of diminishing life support resources – can we expect to remain a free (for all) capitalistic society, as everyone grabs what they can, trampling the weak and virtuous.
