Socialism, secularism, and liberalism have the human species gone mad.

LONDON (AFP) - London Zoo unveiled a new exhibition – eight humans prowling around wearing little more than fig leaves to cover their modesty. The “Human Zoo” is intended to show the basic nature of human beings as they frolick throughout the August bank holiday weekend. “We have set up this exhibit to highlight the spread of man as a plague species and to communicate the importance of man’s place in the planet’s ecosystem,” London Zoo said. The scantily-clad volunteers will be treated as animals and kept amused at the central London zoo with games and music.“I actually think the fig leaves will be enough to cover us up, it’s no worse than a swimming pool,” said volunteer Simon Spiro, 19, from New Malden, south of the British capital. Spiro, selected from dozens of hopefuls in an Internet competition, said he was excited by the prospect of monkeying around on the zoo’s Bear Mountain. "I’m a veterinary student so the idea of working for a zoo was something that appealed to me. “I thought it would be fun and interesting because I’m an outdoorsy kind of person,” he said. Brendan Carr, 25, from Aylesbury, southern England, wrote a poem in his bid to get on the mountain. “I’m funky like a monkey and as cool as a cat, talk more than a parrot, up all night like a bat,” it went. “I got a laugh like a hyena but get the hump like a camel, so cover me in fig leaves as I’m the ultimate mammal.”

It is true. In eyes that don’t see, we are no greater than the animals around us.

I mean just look at this quotation trying to justify the spectacle: "We have set up this exhibit to highlight the spread of man as a plague species and to communicate the importance of man’s place in the planet’s ecosystem," London Zoo said. *** The scantily-clad volunteers will be treated as animals and kept amused at the central London zoo with games and music.***

They forget that ‘Man’ (male and female) was given dominion over all other animals.

It is, all in all, degrading to say the least. Forgive me if my funny bone is out of order on this count but I seriously fail to see the humour.

I’m with Fergal on this one.

While humans share some physical traits with animals, we also share spiritual traits with the angels (I just finished Peter Kreeft’s book Angels and Demons which goes into this.) We are created in God’s image!

This could have some rewards… I bet its highly satisfying to pretend being a gorilla and get away with throwing your poo at those who annoy you… where do I sign up? …and send over Tony Blair for a visit to the ape house 😃

Doesn’t this somewhat remind you of the B&W Twilight Zone episode, there two human couples are living together but at the end of the show you find out that they are living in ‘cages’ for an alien race!

If they really wanted to make a statement that humans are the same as animales, then why do the humans have on clothes? It would seem to me that no other animale really cares if it does or does not have clothes on. It is strickly only a human that could have an idea of the need of clothers, especially if the reason is other than to keep warm. Also another funny thing is I think they are wearing fig leaves. That kinda points to the Garden of Eden. In the Garden of Eden it wasn’t the animales that where the same as man. Covering with fig leaves was one of the first things that Adam and Eve did after the fall.
