New Jersey, USA: Priest Thwarts Attempted Arson at Somerville's Immaculate Conception Church New Year's Eve

After new year’s evening mass, the priest who had said it, on walking to the sacristy, saw smoke coming from the room. Someone had set two fires there during the mass. Luckily, he learned that someone had set fire to the church before it was too late.
