The only loss of face is when the Muslum negotiates in bad faith, is called on it, and by the use of force has to abide by the proposal that was made by the Muslim, even when they (the Muslim) had no intention of ever agreeing to the proposal that they (the Muslim) made.

That all negotiations by Muslims are done in bad faith, is a slightly different issue.
