THIS POLL IS ANONYMOUS, PLEASE READ EACH OPTION TO ENSURE YOU ARE PICKING THE CORRECT OPTION.

With all of the changes happening recently in the Episcopal and ELCA Lutheran churches regarding Homosexuality, I thought I would start a poll to determine the current state of the forum.

The ELCA and Episcopal churches are saying that a committed homosexual relationship where homosexuals of the same sex are committing fornication outside of Marriage or Holy Matrimony is not a sin according to the Bible or by God.

This is not talking about homosexuals who are celibate for God, but it is speaking about committed homosexuals who are only procreating with 1 partner in a committed relationship.

If you believe committed homosexual relationships are ok, that is the point of this thread. I do not even think the Lesbian or the Gay bishops of the Episcopal church believe that a homosexual that is having a different partner ever weekend is not sinning.

Good range of responses so far, i think this poll will have to go for a month to get many more people.

I don’t think they are sinful if done in a way that doesn’t deceive the other person. If a person has sex with a man or woman, and both parties are on the same page (either both are doing it without emotions attached or they are doing it in a relationship of some sort where both know the intentions of the other) I don’t see a problem with it.

I do think that homosexual acts are sinful, BUT I also think that heterosexual acts before marriage are sinful, lying is sinful, not caring for the poor is sinful, jealousy is sinful, pride is sinful, etc. Until I am not guilty of sin, I will not condemn others.

If you are choosing not to vote, post why you would not vote in a thread like this. Does not seem like many Muslims, Buddists, atheists, Anglican/Episcopals, and “other” protestants are voting much.

Homosexuality being a sin is a clear statement of scripture.
Therefore, what people “think” cannot be considered.
No amount of circular logic, mental juggling, etc. changes anything.
The fact remains that it is unscriptural be it monogamous or not.

I am a Catholic Christian and do believe it is sinful. It is gravely sinful.

I do believe all sexual activity outside of Marriage between a Man and a Woman is a sin.

The only opinion that ultimately matters is God’s. His Word seems to be quite clear on this subject.

In the book of Genesis, we see God Created Adam, and than Eve, ie man and woman, and not Adam and another adam, or Eve and another Eve. If God created Man and woman to be companions to each other, How can we accept Homosexual acts? Yes They are sinful.

Technically, homosexuals cannot “procreate” with one another without outside help.
