That is great! He is going to be a very good Pope for the faithful. I really like his humility that he exudes and I think the Cardinals have chosen a good Vicar. He does need to be careful, though, because he is the head of the Catholic Church now and, as a head-of-state as well, he needs to be mindful of his security around him. That is so great that he is cracking jokes with the cardinals, though! šŸ˜ƒ

What are the similarities between the Dominicans and the Jesuits?

A Franciscan and a Dominican were debating whose order was the greater. After months of arguing, they decided to ask God for an answer when they died. Years later, they met in heaven and went to Godā€™s throne to resolve their old disagreement. God seemed a bit puzzled about the question and told them he would reply in writing a few days later. After much deliberation, God sent the following letter:

My sons,

Please stop bickering about such trivial matters. Both orders are equally great and good in my eyes.

His warmth and ease of manner are visible in his smile and laughter. He seems almost larger than life to me. He is the flesh and blood antithesis of what the hateful enemies claim of him ( and his Holy Church ). His frank and honest visage is witness to his inner light , which seems holy and bright.

Perhaps he should have chosen to be called Pope Jude , after the Apostle that Christ said ā€œhad no guile in him.ā€ No , I think that Pope Francis suits him just fine.
