Bishop Martin John Amos retired and Bishop-elect Thomas Robert Zinkula was named Bishop of Davenport, Iowa, USA.

Bishop-elect Zinkula had been serving as a priest of Dubuque, Iowa.

Bishop-elect John P. Dolan was named Auxiliary Bishop of San Diego, California, USA and titular bishop of Uchi Maius. He had been serving as a priest of the same diocese.

Bishop McElroy is still in San Diego. It’s just that Bishop-elect Dolan is going to be the assistant Bishop (hence, the term “auxiliary Bishop”). Hope that helps
