Just to clarify all the degenerate comments on here about my country, there are alot of us living here that were/are against this bill.

Maybe instead of a blanket condemnation about all of us living here maybe you could pray for us Catholics that are still living here instead? You know that thing Jesus did almost everywhere he went?

This bill was drawn at random from a ballot box which all MP’s can put personal bills into.Then our esteemed elected prime minister decided to make it a conscience vote hence the land slide win for those in favour.

I fervently pray that no other country falls pray to this malaise and madness, I really do.

Most likely many countries will, perdition is on it’s way, ( you can bet on this ) million’s upon millions of baby butchering is not over looked by the Almighty…
The account will be settled, which side of the fence you choose to be on is up to you …

Yes, there were indeed protests, but unfortunately SOME of the protesting was carried out in a way that alienated the undecided politicians before the final vote on the bill. (It went through a few readings beforehand)
Sending death threats etc wasn’t the best way to register protest.
I think it’s pretty clear that the vast majority of New Zealanders opposed this decision, and I hope that this government HAS committed political suicide. It’s totally undemocratic.:mad::mad:
I’ve seen polls that put the ratio of (public) opinion as 78% against, 22% for, so don’t assume that this country is morally bankrupt just because of this decision.

I for one am deeply depressed and saddened and angry. I have a list of how each politician voted and have made a pledge to vote out any local member of parliament that voted for this bill at the next elections. Too late now but at least I can exercise my democratic right in the face of this breach of democracy.

I don’t know why there wasn’t a referendum on this!!

Good idea, that’s what I did with the Labor Party here (in Victoria) over their passing of a heinous abortion reform law.

The only problem with these things is that it’s almost impossible to get a law like this reversed.

I agree with you did they not learn from the first time. My boss fired me cause he said my kpi’s weren’t met than told me i was to sheltered cause he was gay and an arab. His bf was a Lebanese christian which upset me. But i said nothing. But i felt like i offended him. I knew he was going to let me go i sense it.

Agreed. I for one didn’t vote for them and won’t next time. But who to pick? They are all as bad as each other. Especially when one politician gets applauded for his speach:

The one consolation I have is that I live in a rural area & alot of farmers have pretty frank views on it.

Could you cite that poll? All the ones cited on Wikipedia differ significantly, all but the first showing overall support.

I think the backlash to the UK PM pushing through gay ‘marriage’ will be seen on the 2nd May.
