I am agreeing with St. Pius X in Lamentabili Sane, July 3, 1907- #54. “Dogmas, Sacraments and hierarchy, both their notion and reality, are only interpretations and evolutions of the Christian intelligence which have increased and perfected by an external series of additions the little germ ( also could be translated - “seed”) latent in the Gospel.”–condemnedSo are you saying that the apostles explicity taught the Immaculate Conception? Or are you saying that it was contained hidden in what the apostles taught, and had to be discovered within the apostolic teaching through theology?
" All Catholic doctrine, as held by the Roman Church, has been the result of one continued law of growth, and has therefore the unity of nature and of life : its development has been like that of the Church itself, ’ the least of all seeds, but when it is grown the greatest among herbs’; or, like the growth of grace in each individual soul, ’ first the blade, then the ear, and after that the full corn in the ear.’"— p. 53.
