Of course it’s true! When did I say they won’t answer for their sins? Have you not read my many posts condemning the sinful perversion, obscene greed, and insensitive ungodliness of the secular world around us? I don’t think these people are above God’s law. You’re putting words in my mouth, Lapell. I am simply saying that the secular rulers are “of the world” as Christ tells us. They’re living by secular rules, not by God’s rules. Should they? Well heck yeah! Do they? Of course not, many of them. Democrats and Republicans are blow-hards. Some are socialists, some could care less about any but the rich and have a “you’re on your own dude” approach. They have scandal after scandal and live a life according to secular, sex maniac, winner-take-all philosophy. You’re expecting them to live a biblical, Catholic life. There’s an Aerosmith song called “Dream On…” I concur with Steven Tyler on that one!
??? I beg your pardon? The Jews would tell you that the non-Jews are all bound by the Covenant that God did with Noah. That INCLUDES the secular world rather than it would exclude it. That the secular would not feel bound is rather a symptom that they don’t want anything to do with the One True God. It’s their choice and they will have to answer for it some day, whether they like it or not. Isn’t this true?

Yesterday I saw a list of the protestant denominations who had their abusers and I don’t bother to care to share the link…considering the rest of the abuse outside of Christianity.

And yesterday a bill was passed that helps advance the murder of our precious children in the womb. The bill makes us accomplices through the funneling of our tax dollars. The genocide will continue because our secular authorities have been blinded by pride and power—lust and greed. This demonic bill will continue to make holy martyrs of our innocent voiceless children before they are born into this world. May the Lord accept their baptism by blood–like the holy martyrs throughout Church history.

May those who participate in this satanic act come to a deep repentance.

And may the Lord have mercy on all mankind.

Now, how about going back to the main topic if there still is simething more to say, hmm?

You’ll have to forgive me, gurneyhalleck. I guess I mistook the word “responsible” for “accountable”.
And you’re right, I haven’t read all your posts. Maybe I am getting a bit jumpy. I apologize… God bless you!

I’m not catholic so it doesn’t effect (or is that affect) me at all. However, it does prove the point some of us here try to make: NO one is above sin and NO one deserves to be place is such high authority. Therefore, the ONLY thing we can trust is the Bible and we can pray that we are in right relationship with the Holy Spirit so we can understand and obey what we need to obey and follow our Lord Jesus Christ (hand in hand with other true believers no matter what church or denomination they belong to).
We have to take into consideration what belongs to God and what belongs to Ceasar here;

Before Jesus went to his passion he renamed Simon bar Jona to Peter (Rock) which he will build his Church upon. But Peter failed in his faith, not once, not twice, but three times. Then Later after the resurrection Jesus tells Peter 3 times to feed and tend his flock.

This in not the first time or last time that the Chair of Peter will come under attack. We have the promise from God, that “Iam with you always”. So though man may fall short, Jesus is always there so that the gates of hell will never prevail against his Church.

This evil power and principality has not just hit the body of Jesus Christ (Catholic Church)l, this demon has affected many other Christian, Muslem, and non christian alike including extra marital affairs in past presidencies, and heads of churches. This evil knows no boundaries.

The fight against this evil darkness that has affected the world’s societies. The only weapon we have to fight against this evil power and principality is the “battering ram”. The Holy Rosary, which is the Gospel prayed for not only our Pope and the body of Christ, and also for our societies at large.

Our Father, (Angelic psalter) = Hail Mary

Funny, in all the articles I have read about this priest, maybe one or two has mentioned any standing ovations.

Don’t you think the media would have taken it and run alot harder than what they did?

Are you talking about the bill to continue funding the wars?

On this you and me certainly are on the same page, Mickey. 👍👍

It doesn’t make what they’re doing something really Catholic, though… Lord, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.
Amen to that, Lapell. Their response to the priest’s ignorance on the subject simply reveals their own ignorance (and a preference to learn about the Church from secular sources that are SOOO unbiased. )

Well said, Frances! 👍👍

Ditto. I wonder how much digging this priest and his parishoners have done in researching this. I admit being somewhat shaken by what I perceived as mishandling these terrible things done to innocent children, until I decided to not just take the secular media’s word for it and do some digging of my own. Does this priest actually think the Vatican WANTED these sickos to be turned loose on more innocent victims? Because that’s what’s being implied.

Then why did they wait so long in doing something?

Thank you but didn’t mean a thing to me except it was a cover up and it is just as bad as the deed. I have been there done that. I have zero tolerance.
I have no tolerance for it either as this sort of thing has affected my family when we were JW’s, but who did the covering up? How do you know that Benedict knew about these things? Because a reporter from the NY Times not familiar with the workings of the Church structure says so? The Catholic Church is not a corporation with the pope acting as CEO. He can’t “order” bishops on what to do. That is not his role.

There has absolutely been some horrendous handlings of these cases by bishops and the priests guilty of these charges are, to use Benedicts own description, filth. But do you think the Vatican would WANT these vile creatures preying upon others by trying to cover things up? Many of these cases took place decades ago when society, I think it would be fair to say, had no idea how to handle these dispicable actions, especially within the Church. We know better now. No “rehabilitation” can heal these wretches. There is no doubt that Church is learning a painful lesson in all this, but before fingers are pointed at the Vatican, let’s make sure we let ALL the facts come out. And so far, there has not been any evidence showing that Benedict, then Ratzinger, acted with malice.

Why was it covered up then, for the sake of the church.? Instead of all this bs why doesn’t the church stand up and admit where they had fault?
