Next Pope from Latin America?

Let’s not focus on where he’ll come from but what he’ll do.
 
Why are we so interested in the next Pope :confused: Pope Benedict will be around for at least a couple of years. Plenty of time to speculate later.

Oh, I agree … but public image is very important. There is nothing wrong with pondering the thought that the next Pope will be from Latin America.

Yes, we know that or don’t know that since only God knows that. It relates to a news article on a Vatican News website. Please, don’t make it more than what it is.
 
We only just got the one we have now! I’m praying he keeps well until he’s in his 90’s.
 
So is the Church actively seeking this Cardinal out and why would a Holy man like this Cardinal break the rules of the conclave …does he want to be excommunicated?:confused:
 
This article amounts to little more than gossip, regardless of where it supposedly originated. There are errors in the “diary” that a cardinal would not have made, making the whole story highly suspect. Further, it is old enough that it hardly qualifies as news. If you wish to speculate on where the next pope will come from, please open a new thread on that topic and limit your posts to that subject. This thread is closed.
