NFP and spousal relationships

Having just celebrated All Saints day ( beautiful litany ) and All Souls day - both making the realty of heaven even more palpable,
it is wonderful to look ahead , may be 50 or 100 years and see each of us - husband …wife ,in heaven and remind ourselves of the verse -’ the children of this age marry…in the age to come they shall be like angels '…Now , fertile days would be ideal to get a taste of those days - seeing each other like angels, in heaven… can also include many others - a good way to pray for , forgive and love - even our nonchristian brethren … :angel1:

I never thought of that. That is sweet! I couldn’t get my very good NFP husband to think like that though. “Too sweet” for him!

Well, it is easy to forget -'eye has not seen ,ear has not heard what God has prepared for those who love Him…" and those angels probably experience inconcievble , total ever greater ,joy /ecstacy …beauty …and on and on …

May we be able to run the race , setting our eyes on high.

There are so many times one can talk about NFP, even though you love it. Sometimes we need a break. If I spent the whole time talking about sex, I probably wouldn’t be in the mood when I actually had the chance before bed to have it. Apart of abstaining/chaste also means keeping your mind busy with other things.

Ever notice that about people who talk about sex ALOT as an recreational activity, and all the different ways you supposely can actually have sex, only to find out their bedroom life is non-existant when they breakup with their boyfriend or file for a divorce and the truth comes spilling out.
