How long have you used NFP?
Depends on your definition. Before marriage, 1 year to help with painful irregular cycles. After marriage, 3 months of Doering, 6 months of LAM (lactation ammenorhea method), 6 months of total abstinence (no clear signs, couldn’t use breastfeeding infertility because I wasn’t exclusive nursing), and 18 months of “best guess”. Don’t look up “best guess method” in the books, you won’t find it, and for good reason
Which method do you use?
Right now, I’m pregnant. But when we are serious about avoiding, we use Doering (temperature only) with light cross-checking from other signs and some extra abstinence padding around Phase 2, LAM if it is available, or total abstinence if neither is an option (late breastfeeding amenorrhea).

Have you ever had an unexpected pregnancy?**
Honestly, it was more unexpected that we went that long without a pregnancy than that we finally did get pregnant. In fact, I’d spent the past couple months before conceiving being disappointed every month that I wasn’t “unexpectedly” pregnant. So, uh, definitely not a method failure for any actual methods. LOL. DH was a little surprised, but he shouldn’t have been. I’d been telling him it would happen eventually if he didn’t take over charting, for 18 months . . .
If you had an unexpected pregnancy, were you using your NFP method perfectly at the time you conceived?
Since we call it the “best guess” method . . . no. No charts, no temps, just my gut from the signs I noticed - mostly secondary signs. I only recommend this method if your feeling is, “This really isn’t the best time and it would be horribly imprudent to seek a baby right now but I secretly really want to get pregnant anyways”.
How many children do you have?
Two, twins. Expecting #3.
