A freind of mine and I were talking about birth control and we came to be discussing the new ovulation tests. Specifically, I believe the Zetek ovulation kit - it is electronic and her GYN told her that although using it wouldn’t be 100% effective - using it may be just as effective, as the pill - as long as intercourse did not occur on the fertile days or as long as condoms or something else was used on those days. (oddly enough this was made to help people become pregnant) For someone that might be looking for a way to do NFP -is this something that anyone has used and is there any reason the Church should have a problem with it (assuming that ABC isn’t used during the few fertile days it gives?) It seems like it would be a lot easier than having to chart every thing etc. - especially for those of us that arn’t regular and have other problems. Please let me know if there is another electronic ovulation test that people use and have had good outcomes with - this one from what I’ve heard and read seems to be the most accurate and it would seem to possibly cut down on the days one would have to abstain.
