I started charting with the Symptothermal (CCL) method 8 days ago. I’m finding it hard to wake up at the same time every day and take my temperature. Does it ever get easier?
I bought a thermometer from walmart and seem to get a different temperature reading each time I use it. First I put it under the right side of my tongue to “warm it up” then I put it in the same spot under the left side of my tongue every morning. Sometimes I take my temperature several times in a row and it’s never the same as before (sometimes it’s a whole degree different.) Has anyone ever had problems with this before? What thermometer do you use? Is it accurate? For the first 8 days of my cycle my temperature has been all over the place.
The first couple hours of my period or uterus shedding I experience dark spotting. Sometimes it happens over night when I sleep so I don’t know how long that phase lasts but it’s never more than 12 hours. Then I usually have moderate-heavy bleeding for the first 3 days. Days 4 and 5 I have minimal to little bleeding. Days 6, 7, and 8 I have dark spotting and sometimes go hours or nights with no bleeding/spotting. This is how my cycle has always been.
On day 6 I started checking for cervical mucus. First I wiped with toilet paper and then did the interior check. It was the first time I touched my cervix. It felt high up and closed. Can you definitely tell when your cervex starts to open up? I have felt “sticky” the last few days. In the next day or so I’m assuming I will start fertile phase 2 and feel “slimy/slippery”.
Are you 99.9% infertile when you have your period and when you’re sticky in days 6, 7, and 8?
I read you can’t have sex in the mornings because semen stays inside and it’s hard for a woman to know the different between her cervical mucus and the semen. Is this true? I also read you can’t have sex two days in a row of being in the infertile phase because the mucus can be mistaken for semen.
