There is no limit for c-sections…
No, that’s not quite accurate.

The uterus is a muscle. Every time a muscle is cut, it is greatly weakened by the trauma and it never heals back the same way.

After three Caesarians, it is generally recommended that no vaginal births be permitted.

Research has never determined an unsafe - or even a safe - number of c-sections. We don’t know what the limit is.

Not now.

Of course, there is a limit that is not the same for every woman, but not 3. That’s why natural births must always be priviledged, when possible.

for example, on the question of how much cesarian a woman can have in her life, a gy-ob, Pr. pierre Fabrice answers :

"There is not really a limit. I have been practiced 7 cesarians on the same woman. After 2 cesarians, we always realized an other c-sections. "…

I am battling with this situation as I have 2 kids but the births almost led to death for me. I worked with my medical provider but I did not consult with the church regarding this. This is a situation that is hard to deal with when one does not know where to turn especially when a third pregnancy could have more medical complications, or even death. This is not a situation that I would ever wished on anyone. I am thankful that I have had the opportunity to see both of my boys thrive, become young men that they are becoming and would not trade this experience for anything else in the world. Although, my faith did go into a downward spiral and depression did set in. But, my life is back on track and my faithlife is more than I can imagine.

I’ll qualify that.

ACOG - the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology - disagrees, and states there is no known number of actual safe sections.
