We named our babies nicknames that had to do with something around the time they were due.
Our first was expected around Halloween, so our nickname was “boo”,
Our second was in early February - so “groundhog”
Our third was expected around the time of my deceased father - who served a stint after WWII on a ship - so we nicknamed her “midway”.
we had a miscarriage that we nicknamed “firework” (for Jul)
Our final child, was due right around the beginning of Spring, so we nicknamed her “Slinky”.
my mother hated the nicknames - she always thought were going to name our child “Boo”. But it did help others keep track of when the due dates were.
