Please can you hold me in your prayers, my depression is really bad today and I just feel as if I have no faith left:( I just haven’t the strength at the moment to belive in anything, I just want to curl up and sleep.

I will pray for you but look at a flower.
The complexities of a rose or a daffodil always re-convince me that SOMETHING
else is OUT there.
Also the way all the planets rotate without bumping into each other.
If you at least have a mustard seed of faith you’ll be okay.

Praying very hard to St. Dymphna for your happiness and peace of mind.

I feel sad that you’re feeling so hopeless. You have been through a lot of loss and anxiety. I do hope you have a friend to talk things out with, and have coffee with, and to laugh with.
I can only pray for you. I’ll remember you at Mass in the morning.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Our Father, which art in Heaven
Hollowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven

Give us this day, our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us

Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil

Amen

May the Lord hold you in His hands and give you comfort and peace. :gopray2:

I know how debilitating depression can be. Faith is a choice. Somtimes you may not feel it. Those are the times that you need to choose to believe. Even if it feels dry, pray anyway. Tell God what you are feeling. You need to tell yourself that Jesus is with you. I immagine Jesus or Mary sitting beside me comfoting me. He knows your heart and he understands. He walked among us.

See a doctor if this is a cronic problem. Nothing wrong with seeking help when you need it.

needless to say I will keep you in my prayers.

I suffer with clinical depression and know of what you speak. You do have faith as you are crying out to God for help and to the people in this forum to pray for you. If you didn’t care enough to do these or anything else in a manner of seeking God’s help, then one might reason faith was gone. Don’t beat yourself up, the depression is hard enough.

If you don’t take meds, get to a doctor and get help. If you do take meds, perhaps the one you’ve been on doesn’t work or has ceased to work as well as before. Adjustments can be made by the doctor in dosages and in substitutes or additions to what you are taking. Realize that these changes take several weeks to reflect results, and not every medication helps every person suffering with clinical depression. Unfortunately its a trial and error thing until you find the right med or meds that works.

You certainly have my prayers for God’s strength to come to you to persevere until you can get the medical help you need. Even after that there will be occasional days when the depression works overtime compared to the medication. This suffering offer up to God to use as he sees fit. His grace will come to you and help you as you need (not as you may want mind you, but as you need).

God have mercy on you and help you bear up under this terrible feeling of fighting yourself and loss of energy and ambition for even the basic activities of daily life. I pray God rescue you and lead you to the medicinal answer soon that will free you to be the servant he created you to be. Amen.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and advice/words of wisdom. I am under doctors treatment for anxiety and depression at this moment in time, but I think that everything that has happened is finally catching up on me 😦

I am sorry you are suffering such affliction. May God be with you, and I will pray for you. Remember He Who said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

God bless you.
