No holding hands during the "Our Father"

And there have been repeated comments by knowledgeable Protestants and ex-Protestants that they had never seen such until they came to the Catholic Church; if one wants to make the statement that it is a “protestentizing” of the Mass, one should at least back it up with factual information instead of just a slur.
Yeah, I go get sick of this “protestantizing” of the Mass thing (regardless of how I feel about hand-holding in Mass). It really betrays a laughable ignorance of Protestants (which is fine, but don’t offer comment about what you don’t know about). Hand-holding was never a feature in the Protestant church of my youth, nor the Episcopal Church when I attended there, until the last parish I belong to, where they DID hold hands during the Our Father, but it was LONG after the Catholics a block down had started.
 
I think yu and your husband can hold hands because I don’t see anything wrong with that. But don’t extend your arms like the priest because that is not in the traditional rubrics only the priest can extend arms.
