I’m so scared i’m going to hell, i’ve been livivng the way of the world my whole life knowing the truth, expecting God to forgive me. I’m scared i’ll never be forgiven,

There’s always hope for those who truly believe (trust) in His love and Mercy.
Praying for you - with you. :o

You have until your dying breath to be saved.

Meantime, if you are in a state of mortal sin, then you just have to go to Confession, sincerely repent and you will be forgiven and absolved.

but its more that I’ve abused God’s mercy, and his mercy runs out when abused i’m sure.

A healthy fear of hell is a good and sensible thing to keep on the narrow path. However no one is beyond God’s mercy. No one. Remember Jesus said He came for the sick (sinners) not the well. We are all sinners. Jesus came and still comes for US. Once you have been to confession and made a good confession and been absolved then you are forgiven. You need to TRUST in Jesus and the sacraments He instituted. Keep your focus on trying to do His will. Do your best. If you fall, get back up and carry on. Jesus wants you to be free, at peace and to walk with Him in joy.

As long as you are alive, God’s mercy is open to you. Even up to your last, dying breath. Read St Faustina’s diary on the mercy of Our Lord. What you did in the past, how you lived then is not important. What matters is your decision for Christ today. Go to confession, go to Mass, sit at the feet of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and be at PEACE.🙂

One giant step you could take toward God right now is to remember that his mercy is bigger than all your sins put together. He WANTS you to be saved. You’re worth so much to him.

So think of yourself that way. “I’m a mess of a sinner, but I’m exactly the kind of person Jesus did all this for. He wants me to accept what I don’t deserve. This is what he DOES.”

The one sin you can do something about right now is your doubting of his forgiveness. The more sinful you are, the more he likes it that you believe in his absurd generosity.

Look at the lives of St Augustine, St Ignatius of Loyola and countless other Saints. All of us to some extent or another have abused Our Lord’s mercy at one time or another. His mercy is infinite and unfathomable. If you desire to accept Our Lord’s mercy then you WILL receive it. Even if your sins are as scarlet and you have one foot in hell, so long as you repent, ask for forgiveness then you are washed clean in Christ’s blood; there is no sin His blood can not erase.

Anything that tells you otherwise is from the evil one. We are given a spirit of joy NOT fear.👍

Mercy is inexhaustible.
Out of the Depths I Cried to You (Psalm 130)*
Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord:
Lord, hear my voice!

Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleading.

If you, O Lord, should mark our guilt: Lord, who would survive?
But with you is found forgiveness: for this we revere you.

My soul is waiting for the Lord. I count on his word.
My soul is longing for the Lord more than watchman for daybreak.

Let the watchmen count on daybreak
and Israel on the Lord.

Because with the Lord there is mercy and fullness of redemption,
Israel indeed he will redeem from all its iniquity.

As others have already said, the Lord’s mercy is everlasting. We are all sinners who constantly return to His arms seeking forgiveness, and he never withholds it. The mere fact that you have posted here shows that you have recognized the sin of presumption, that the Lord’s mercy is not a license to commit more sin. Go and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and begin the work of correcting the errors in your life. Regular prayer, like a daily rosary, as well as routine prayer before the Blessed Sacrament will help to keep you on track. God Bless and you will be in my prayers.

I’m sure the devil is always tempting you to give in to despair. Pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy where Jesus promised that He will give grace even to a hardened sinner.

Also seek the intercession of Mama Mary, pray the Holy Rosary 👍

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular marypiopadre, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon marypiopadre in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Prayer Against Depression
………….By St Ignatius of Loyola

O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.

Amen.

Let Nothing Disturb You

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Mary, if you’ve been living the way of the world and expecting God to forgive you without changing, that sounds like presumption… however, you can be forgiven of that and what you did, simply by repenting. God forgives anything that we confess and repent of. It doesn’t mean at all that you are going to go to hell, if you make an effort to change your life, repent, and go to Confession - then everything will be forgiven. Jesus told St Faustina even if a soul were like a decaying corpse and everything seemed lost, it is not so with God, and God’s Mercy restores it back to grace in the Confessional. Trust in His Mercy and don’t despair, but don’t presume either. Ask Him to help you. God bless you

but its more that I’ve abused God’s mercy, and his mercy runs out when abused i’m sure.
There are many who have abused God’s Mercy and still were forgiven. It doesn’t mean His Mercy “runs out”. Actually, in fact His Mercy doesn’t run out… the only thing that could happen is a person might reach a point of such hardness of heart that they don’t respond anymore and don’t repent. Repeated sins can do that eventually. But… you are repentant and are afraid. That is a grace already, and God would not give a grace of repentance and then refuse to forgive 🙂 it already means that you CAN be forgiven. Don’t despair, because that would hurt Him much more than all of your sins.

God’s Mercy is limitless. Trust in it… we can’t “commit too many sins” for God to forgive us. Even if you had as many as the grains of sand, He would still be able to forgive. The only thing that could happen is that a person could become very hardened in sin and not repent, and only an extraordinary grace could perhaps convert them. But see what you have done, and regret it, and that’s different… trust God and go to Confession, things would be better after 🙂

St. John Vianney said that it’s blasphemy to say that we’ve done too much evil for God to forgive us in this life. He said that there is nothing that offends God so much as to doubt His mercy (see the ask an apologist question at the top left part of the page)

One trip to the confessional is all you need. There is nothing God won’t forgive. I spent much of my young life engaged in repeated mortal sin, so I know where you’re coming from. Rest assured, God’ mercy is infinite. It doesn’t matter how many times you sin, as long as you come before God with a a contrite heart, intent of overcoming your habitual sins, you will be forgiven.

That’s the way we all live! Just do your best, try your best, seek forgiveness, and wait your turn.

I always felt Those who believe they are guaranteed entry are the ones who need to be careful!

I used to feel the same way. I felt hopeless and so unworthy of God’s grace. However, through His infinite grace I began to pray the Rosary. Over the course of about a year I prayed it just a couple times a week then it grew to now daily prayers. I now get excited to say the rosary and pray daily. This has turned into my full conversion back to the Catholic Church and my protestant husband is considering becoming Catholic as well. Tomorrow is our last meeting with our Priest before we get our marriage blessed and get our unbaptized children baptized. I truly believe that praying the Rosary led us to this point. The Blessed Mother has brought my family closer to her Son. I now know that satan wanted me to feel hopeless and without a chance for salvation. Jesus Christ is our hope and will never lead us to be hopeless. Even though I am not worthy Jesus heals my soul. Even if you don’t feel like you deserve to, pray the Rosary. Ask the Blessed Mother (your mother!) to bring you to her Son. She wants to do that. She desires to bring us all to her Son. I’ll be praying for you.

I hope this makes sense, I’m quickly typing on my phone!

Who hasn’t abused God’s mercy? His boundless mercy does not run out. God doesn’t give up on you or any of us. Do not trust in your emotions. Trust in His mercy, and run to Him. He is expecting you, mary.
