I’m so scared i’m going to hell, i’ve been livivng the way of the world my whole life knowing the truth, expecting God to forgive me. I’m scared i’ll never be forgiven,
You have until your dying breath to be saved.I’m so scared i’m going to hell, i’ve been livivng the way of the world my whole life knowing the truth, expecting God to forgive me. I’m scared i’ll never be forgiven,
Mercy is inexhaustible.but its more that I’ve abused God’s mercy, and his mercy runs out when abused i’m sure.
As others have already said, the Lord’s mercy is everlasting. We are all sinners who constantly return to His arms seeking forgiveness, and he never withholds it. The mere fact that you have posted here shows that you have recognized the sin of presumption, that the Lord’s mercy is not a license to commit more sin. Go and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and begin the work of correcting the errors in your life. Regular prayer, like a daily rosary, as well as routine prayer before the Blessed Sacrament will help to keep you on track. God Bless and you will be in my prayers.I’m so scared i’m going to hell, i’ve been livivng the way of the world my whole life knowing the truth, expecting God to forgive me. I’m sure the devil is always tempting you to give in to despair. Pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy where Jesus promised that He will give grace even to a hardened sinner.I’m so scared i’m going to hell, i’ve been livivng the way of the world my whole life knowing the truth, expecting God to forgive me. Mary, if you’ve been living the way of the world and expecting God to forgive you without changing, that sounds like presumption… however, you can be forgiven of that and what you did, simply by repenting. God forgives anything that we confess and repent of. It doesn’t mean at all that you are going to go to hell, if you make an effort to change your life, repent, and go to Confession - then everything will be forgiven. Jesus told St Faustina even if a soul were like a decaying corpse and everything seemed lost, it is not so with God, and God’s Mercy restores it back to grace in the Confessional. Trust in His Mercy and don’t despair, but don’t presume either. Ask Him to help you. There are many who have abused God’s Mercy and still were forgiven. It doesn’t mean His Mercy “runs out”. Actually, in fact His Mercy doesn’t run out… the only thing that could happen is a person might reach a point of such hardness of heart that they don’t respond anymore and don’t repent. Repeated sins can do that eventually. But… you are repentant and are afraid. That is a grace already, and God would not give a grace of repentance and then refuse to forgivebut its more that I’ve abused God’s mercy, and his mercy runs out when abused i’m sure.
One trip to the confessional is all you need. There is nothing God won’t forgive. I spent much of my young life engaged in repeated mortal sin, so I know where you’re coming from. Rest assured, God’ mercy is infinite. It doesn’t matter how many times you sin, as long as you come before God with a a contrite heart, intent of overcoming your habitual sins, you will be forgiven.I’m so scared i’m going to hell, i’ve been livivng the way of the world my whole life knowing the truth, expecting God to forgive me. That’s the way we all live! Just do your best, try your best, seek forgiveness, and wait your turn.I’m so scared i’m going to hell, i’ve been livivng the way of the world my whole life knowing the truth, expecting God to forgive me. I’m scared i’ll never be forgiven,
Who hasn’t abused God’s mercy? His boundless mercy does not run out. God doesn’t give up on you or any of us. Do not trust in your emotions. Trust in His mercy, and run to Him. He is expecting you, mary.but its more that I’ve abused God’s mercy, and his mercy runs out when abused i’m sure.
That link will disappear soon, to be replaced with another question, so here it is again:(see the ask an apologist question at the top left part of the page)
