No nice people in Heaven?

My former next door neighbor was the epitome of nice. He was an old school gentleman, always in a white shirt and tie. Always very friendly. Always ready to lend a hand. Polite always. I knew him about 15 years and never saw him lose his temper.

He was a daily communicant and even had confessed to St. Padre Pio on occasion.

I really saw him as an awesome example of Catholic man. Probably the best example of people I knew.

Sure, not everyone in Heaven is nice.

But, all in all, I believe a genuinely ‘nice’ person would make it into Heaven- since being nice involves being charitable, decent, courteous, etc. Why not?

What is the opposite of being ‘nice’? Being a jerk?

A wonder if a more pertinent question would be “Are there any jerks in Heaven?”

I think this thread is about what ven. Fulton sheen said. It was on one of his EWTN programs, and what he meant by “nice” is probably what society would call respectable.
