Two weeks from today, he will be buried at Assumption Cemetery on Winfield Road in Wheaton. The plot and the arrangements are being donated by the Diocese of Joliet and the DuPage County Funeral Directors Association

I read this and I cant stop crying.

How awful. What hideous people. May God have mercy on the soul of this poor little boy. :gopray2:

That child is certainly in a better place. He is being held by loving arms, and has the company of angels for family.

God rest his soul.

It reminds me of the young girl who died in the Hartford circus fire in the mid-40s and was never claimed. That case was finally solved a few years ago, but I have forgotten the details. It was something to the effect that the mother was in a precarious mental state so the aunt simply told her that the daughter was lost and never claimed the body.

Dear Sweet Jesus,

We know you loved the little children, and this your child who you knew before he was even born, knit so wonderfully in the womb, we cry out to you Lord, in pain hearing of how much pain one of your little ones endured, and in firm belief, that you are now caring for this one, this forgotten one, who is in our minds, our hearts, and now PRAYING for US,

Lord, have mercy on this sick world, filled with sin.

Make us new again, give us life, free us from such horrors of evil by trusting in YOU your comfort, and loving even these that Hurt your so loved ones-----

:crying:

Lord have Mercy

As Paul Harvy would say, abortion after the fact. I hope the police leave the case open just incase something comes up. Someone has to be punished for this.

Worry not, for true justice is for Our Lord to decide, as we know we can not trust this world to do it in His will…

Lord, maker of Heaven and Earth, Lord of all creation, hear us cry out to you now, in trust that your will be done, in justice

We are in comfort knowing you are with this child, and beg your mercy on us, that we will not be condemed, if we ignored this child’s plight in any way, if we could have done something, anything,

Lord, mercy!
Christ, Mercy!

Mary, hold this one close to you, as this one knows no other mother, but you

Just seeing it from a different angle…is it possible that the parents were killed?

What if it was just a single mom and the kid, and some crazy loon killed them?

I know a couple single young mommies who have a tiny life. One of my friends has no parents, her one sister lives overseas. She is across the country from her hometown. She works and has a little 1yr old girl. If something happened, heck, I might be the only one to notice and even then, how would I know if she was hurt or if she moved on?

This child has been dead for over 2 years.

Unless the parents both died suddenly, right before the child did- I think you are stretching here.

I read this and I cant stop crying.
I also read the story and cant stop crying. How can a three year old not be known? How can a mother or father not want to do “the last things” for him. What kind of weirdos are inhabiting this planet. I am comforted in the knowledge that the Blessed virign has taken him to her home and mother him.
Eternal rest and peace dear child play with the angels.

I don’t think she is stretching it. If it was a homeless mother and child without family connections that were murdered at the same time and dumped in different places it is very possible that they were never reported missing and the connection between the two bodies, if the mother was found, was never made.

Okay, mothers that have a child never try to find out what happened to the kid, even with 2 years of public exposure about him.

Yeah, right!

I feel so sorry for those “grieving” “parents”

Mother may have been killed at the same time. If mother and child were homeless and had no family connections, which is not unusual for homeless people, they could have been kill at the same time and never been missed by anyone.

It seems like people are coming down hard on the parent(s) when the parent could be a Jane Doe in a mortuary somewhere.

Right now mother and child could be hugging each other in heaven while shaking their heads at our judgementalism.

But didn’t it say the parents were known? By the tone of that article it sounded like the parents didn’t care, assuming the parents did know about it?

Makes no sense, however it is really really sad. He is in heaven now for sure.

The link didn’t work for me but I’m assuming it is the little boy who was found in Naperville/Plainfield area a few years back?

From what I remember I think that he was Hispanic, so there is a possibility that his parent(s) were illegal. Or homeless or maybe even a prostitute (Aurora, which is a neigboring town, has a large poor population and there have been a few Aurora based prostitutes found murdered in DuPage County in the past 10+ years). It is odd that no one knew of this boy, but I have taught children of prostitutes and drug addicts before and it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to say that those children were “invisible” most of their lives until they entered school.

Wow that is sad. Thank God that the Catholic Church has decided to give him a proper burial.

The link isn’t working for some reason, so I don’t fully understand what is going on, but this situation is in my prayers.
