I debated with him before but like the Pharisees my words falls on deaf ears. So he will not listen. Dave Armstrong was right concerning Protestant Apologists like believers. They just refuse to listen to our understanding of Scripture particularly the Real Presence, which I think is the Key for Christian Unity.

Word = flesh (John 1:14)
Flesh = no avail (John 6:63)
Therefore, God is of no avail.
Jhn 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life.
Flesh profits nothing because the words are spirit. To believe on Him is spirit and it is life. Jesus explained perfectly as to the meaning of this.
Flesh = Meat (not carnal flesh that profits nothing) = Work of God = Believe on Him = everlasting life
Here are a few verses that prove this…
Jhn 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jhn 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Jhn 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

The flesh which Jesus spoke in John 6:63 is not his own. It is the flesh of man. He did not say, My flesh profiteth nothing. He said, “the flesh profiteth nothing.”
That is a completely false exegesis. Perhaps, one of the worst interpretation I have ever heard of.

If ‘the flesh’ in general is of no profit, then is the incarnation, life, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus of no profit? After all, these things happened in ‘the flesh,’ and it is quite clear from the context of the New Testament that it had to take place this way.

Jesus was saying that the words are spirit. He was referring to spiritual flesh and a spiritual drink. Not the eucharist and not wine.

You ignore everything in red letters and this exercise proves it. Forget that His flesh is meat indeed, forget that his meat is the work of god, forget the believing in him results in everlasting life. Just as Jesus said.

If the flesh truly profits nothing in a general sense, then why did Jesus have to die for our sins? If his flesh profits us nothing, then all Christians are in a hopeless and pitiful state indeed!

Jesus had to pay for our sins on the cross with His blood for the remission of sins. We are now freed from sin if we turn to Him in faith. Jesus ate His meat by doing the will of the Father. Now, we must eat our meat by believing in Jesus to have everlasting life.
Anyone believing that we are freed from by any other means is in spiritual trouble.

He is Jesus.
