This may seem nit picky, but there is a very large, large difference between doing an act FOR pleasure, and enjoying an act.
Where do get this understanding?Oral sex performed on a man is sodomy.
We tried that. In the end it’s really a joke. The same intent is involved; the same result is achieved. We ended up seeing it for what it was: a phony attempt to salve our consciences.I haven’t thought about that, finishing with very little penetration. That makes this easier actually very much. Thank you
You can be intimate without intercourse. You can cuddle, snuggle, kiss, engage in intimate acts that do not lead to climax.Hard to understand it all to be honest. I honestly just want to be my best for Christ, I don’t know it all but I don’t see why being intimate with my wife (both cradle catholic, married in the church and loyal to each other) in ways other than penetrative sex (which medically can’t happen at this point in time) could be considered wrong.
I think you need to be very sure you understand exactly what your wife’s doctor means by no sex.The Doctors have advised not to have sex, as my wife has some minor complications concerning bleeding. Is it wrong for my wife and I, who are committed to each other by marriage and love to practice oral stimulation or manual stimulation on each other while advised by medical staff to not have sex?
The purposes are bound together. That is their nature. What you propose requires breaking them apart. Why does the church feel so strongly that when a couple has sexual activity must be ordered to both purposes?
And btw Huminae Vitae has been a previous extensive study of mine.I do know the Official Catholic position on this.
I simply observe that your observations are indeed absurd, not because Church teaching is flawed but because you clearly misunderstand it. The Church clearly does not teach that there should be no sex during pregnancy. If we believe its principles must lead to that conclusion then clearly we do not grasp the principles.I mean, help me if I am wrong but I have never heard of a woman getting pregnant when she was already a few weeks pregnant? The procreative argument just falls flat here and I can’t see any reasonable argument for any sex at all until that is possible again.
