It depends on what you mean by Catholic…
Do you mean Roman Catholic?
Anglican Catholic?
Orthodox Catholic?
Anglican, Roman, or Orthodox Catholic?
Or simply Christian?
Technically, all validly baptized persons (Because of the indeible seal of baptism) are Christian, whether they know it or not, or deny it. That being said, Christians (All validly baptized persons, including Protestants) can go to Hell. If they rebel against God, if they choose self-pleasing rather than God pleasing, if they commit a mortal sin and do not repent of it; they are bound to Hell. If they willingly perservere to the end of their lives in their faith, and repent of all mortal sin, then they go to Heaven. Christians can go to Hell as well as Heaven.
your answer is good, but it’s left to interpretation,
as is everything about religion.
if a person commits multiple mortal sins and
repents all of them, they still goto heavean?
even if they keep doing it? has the catholic
church itself committed mortal sins? the priests?
they get to go to heaven yet a simpleton
john doe who knows nothing about
theology or religion, likes to go a fishin, havin a
beer on saturdays, and eating pumpkin pie
goes to hell. even though he’s never hurt nobody.
and suppose someone is born with a mental disorder
that causes them to commit a particular mortal sin. is
it entirely their fault? what if something happened
in their childhood that caused them to fear
christianity. is it entirely their fault?
what is self-pleasing? show me someone who is not
self-pleasing.
