for someone who KNOWS absolute truth,
i figured you’d be able to answer the question
with an absoluteness. you are beginning to
sound like me. lol.

it sounds to me like
you’re saying there are
many paths to heaven,
not just the catholic way.
For someone who doesnt believe in heaven you spend a lot of time worrying how one gets there.

All salvation is through the Catholic Church. One does not, however, have to be mmeber of the Catholic Church to be saved. The theology of that statement is a liittle to deep for you, I fear.

even if they are of the same denomination.
It would be great if we all could have the same beliefs, it might stop so much hate in this world with other Church’s. But we all do serve the same GOD.

His contention is not that people have different beliefs but that NO TWO people have the same belief. Huge difference

yeah, i know not about deep catholic theology.
i’ve always thought it was simple.

i thought salvation was through jesus.

anyways, you strong moral christians can take
shots at me all you want. i turn the other cheek.
lol.

No, I do not say there are many paths to heaven. Read what I said not what you wish I said. I said Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the light and that He is the only way. I also said I do not judge others. I allow God to judge them.

I am done on this thread because you can’t listen to reason. You simply argue in circles. If you are unwilling to accept absolute truth then we will disagree on every single statement and you will never understand a thing of Christianity.

we agree on all things taught infallibly(dogmatically) by the Roman Catholic Church.

If something is not defined by the church, then one cannot be in full agreement with it in the first place for nothing has been defined to agree with or not.

What is time? If time moves slowly for me, is it slow for you? Why does the rate of the passing of time change with the increase of fun? Why do watched pots never boil?

i didn’t say anything about you judging.
you are not the judger. you’re just a
human being like me.

but if you don’t know who’s going to hell,
then let me ask you, who’s going to heaven?

do all catholics get to go to heaven then?
It depends on what you mean by Catholic…
Do you mean Roman Catholic?
Anglican Catholic?
Orthodox Catholic?
Anglican, Roman, or Orthodox Catholic?
Or simply Christian?

Technically, all validly baptized persons (Because of the indeible seal of baptism) are Christian, whether they know it or not, or deny it. That being said, Christians (All validly baptized persons, including Protestants) can go to Hell. If they rebel against God, if they choose self-pleasing rather than God pleasing, if they commit a mortal sin and do not repent of it; they are bound to Hell. If they willingly perservere to the end of their lives in their faith, and repent of all mortal sin, then they go to Heaven. Christians can go to Hell as well as Heaven.

your answer is good, but it’s left to interpretation,
as is everything about religion.

if a person commits multiple mortal sins and
repents all of them, they still goto heavean?
even if they keep doing it? has the catholic
church itself committed mortal sins? the priests?
they get to go to heaven yet a simpleton
john doe who knows nothing about
theology or religion, likes to go a fishin, havin a
beer on saturdays, and eating pumpkin pie
goes to hell. even though he’s never hurt nobody.

and suppose someone is born with a mental disorder
that causes them to commit a particular mortal sin. is
it entirely their fault? what if something happened
in their childhood that caused them to fear
christianity. is it entirely their fault?

what is self-pleasing? show me someone who is not
self-pleasing.

well that would depend on who “we” is right? lol

welcome to religion 101.

we can go in circles with the bible also.
actually, theologians do.

It would be great if we all could have the same beliefs, it might stop so much hate in this world with other Church’s. But we all do serve the same GOD.
that can be good or bad.
i believe that’s what hitler wanted.

exactly. we all have unique life experiences
and look at the world accordingly.
Our life experience vary from person to person. It is based on the culture, language, and religious belief.
what you gain from the bible might be totally different
from what i do. a baptist theologian from new york
might have a totally different understanding than a
baptist from the bible belt south living in a trailer.
Protestants who’s doctrine is based on Sola Scriptura would automatically differ from the next baptist. They have no sole unified set of beliefs, except certain core doctrines.
a caucasian catholic will probably understand things
in a different frame of mind than a chinese or african american.
Considering faith and moral issues, if the Caucasian Catholic is practicing and loyal to the Magisterium, his understanding of theology would be the same as those of Chinse or African-American, who are also loyal to the Magisterium. That is in agreement with all teachings of the Church.

I would like to note that Eastern Catholicism and Western Catholic might use different theological terminology, the core beliefs are basically the same. Eastern Catholics use the term expression of beliefs to explain certain Catholic dogma and doctrine.
a christian with a gay son might have different
ideas about homosexuality and religion than
someone who doesn’t.
It might be true, but if he finds homosexual to be ok. He is going against Scripture.
even you and your parents, even though you live
in the same household and goto the same church,
will not see everything eye to eye about religion.
Opinons vary but if the parent is obedient to the Church, and so are you, then the belief are the same.

I believe you need to stop smoking so much weed.👍

Your posts make me think of 1960s hippies. You’re a dying breed.
Careful, don’t let anger take a hold of your charity. Remember St. Peter, our first Pope said:

Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence, keeping your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who defame your good conduct in Christ may themselves be put to shame. 1 Peter Chapter 3:15-16
