Why the tumultuous uproar? It’s because a student has unforgivably affirmed on a bulletin board at a Catholic university “the truth and beauty of marriage according to nature, the Church, and Jesus Christ. The administration, far from protecting him, has given aid and comfort to the wolves.”

I was tempted to say that the number of Catholic universities is now reduced, but surely this problem did not arise overnight. The abandonment of Catholic principles at putatively Catholic institutions is simply being prominently displayed where before it was noticeable only to the locals.

I’ll be frank. It’s depressing to see so many Catholic educational institutions are cowering and even appeasing the forces that seek the demise of Catholicism.

Most Catholics I know put huge quotation marks outside of the term Catholic in Catholic colleges. At least Jesuit-run ones.

I’m at a Catholic university that is going this way: progressively hiring non-Catholics, watering down the mission statement to the lowest common denominator, changing the curriculum to eliminate theology and philosophy, etc. It is very depressing to see what is occurring. I predict in the next generation it will be Catholic in name only, and after that will drop all pretense.

Catholic Colleges are mostly awful. I was about to post this story because I saw it on a secular news source. I was going to post the article from campusreform.org, but decided against it. The reason I didn’t was because the article contained the image left threatening the RA with rape by sodomy.

The pro homosexuals are just like the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. They are dangerous. People who think it isn’t that big a deal that sodomy is being promoted need to think again.

Catholic colleges are really as dangerous because they allow the promotion of rape by sodomy if the threatened male is promoting Catholic doctrine. If any other member of a group was targeted in only a veiled manner this would be big news. This RA was specifically threatened with homosexual rape. The ‘Catholic’ college is effectively doing nothing and thereby encouraging this.
