Democrats have taken a poll hit with their ignoring the wanton violence in Democrat-run areas.

Their response?

Attempt to fool you, the voter into thinking everything is OK (“Mostly peaceful” in the context of the obvious rioting).

With Kenosha literally on fire behind one of their left-wing activists, CNN put up a chyron that read “Fiery But Mostly Peaceful Protests After Police Shooting.”

This is not a joke.

This is not a drill.

So CNN has a fake correspondent standing in front of what he himself describes as one of “multiple locations that have been burning in Kenosha, Wisconsin, over the course of the night” and the chyron reads “Fiery But Mostly Peaceful Protests After Police Shooting.” . . .

Political satirist Mark Dice also has some real actual video footage on this CNN FAKE News too . . .

CNN panned for on-air graphic reading ‘fiery but mostly peaceful protest’ in front of Kenosha fire

‘The phrase ‘beyond parody’ doesn’t begin to describe this,’ one critic reacted

CNN was widely mocked late Wednesday after an on-air graphic that was broadcasted a day earlier went viral.

CNN national correspondent Omar Jimenez was reporting live in the early hours on Tuesday morning on the unrest that had taken place in Kenosha, Wis., following the police-involved shooting of Jacob Blake.

Jimenez was standing in front of a raging fire and the chyron at the bottom of the screen read, “FIERY BUT MOSTLY PEACEFUL PROTESTS AFTER POLICE SHOOTING.”

The image, which didn’t surface until Wednesday night, sparked jokes across social media.

CNN REMOVES THE TERM ‘VIOLENT’ FROM ON-AIR GRAPHIC DESCRIBING PROTESTS IN WISCONSIN

“Clowns. Irresponsible clowns. It’s not even funny. Months of enabling violence and destruction by ignoring and downplaying it, thereby eliminating any pressure on politicians to take action,” conservative writer A.G. Hamilton reacted.

“The Most 2020 headline you’ll ever read…” comedians the Hodge Twins quipped. . . .

I don’t know if the description in the CNN headline fits the situation or not. One would have to first gauge the size of the peaceful protests and compare that to the size of the violence and destruction. Since violence and destruction is so much more interesting than peaceful protests, it is not surprising that the news accounts would be full of pictures of the violence.

But if you want to get a somewhat objective measure of the destruction, here are some pictures by the Kenosha News:

I counted about 7 businesses burned in uptown and one burned at the department of corrections site. By contrast, the destruction in Minneapolis after the George Floyd killing, more than 400 businesses were heavily damaged, and 20 buildings have already been torn down. So now all one has to do is find out the size of the peaceful part of the protests.

Ok.

To the readers here.

Here again is the CNN chyron in the foregrond
and “the situation” in the background
(or at least an extremely significant part of “the situation”).

Draw your own conclusions.

Maybe that fire is really a picture of the fire n Spain from a few years ago…
I mean it looks a lot like the sceneof the fires that the RNC , featured.Maybe CNN borrowed it from the Republicans?apparently that wasn’t authentic😜

Since the full extent of the destruction and the full extent of the peaceful protests are not known, one cannot intelligently draw a conclusion, except by making an ideologically-driven assumption.
Sure Leaf.

Hundreds of protesters were staying at home peacefully holding up signs to nobody in their basements as their act of protest.

And since we can’t technically count them, why CNN must be correct. Or at least we cannot say with ABSOLUTE certainty, CNN was wrong.

Right?

(And some of these guys carp about “Breitbart”).

Why not just admit the obvious and what anyone who looks at this knows (but sometimes does not admit)??

This was a stupid mistake from CNN and almost certainly due to their blindness rooted in their leftist political biases that everyone or virtually everyone is aware of.

There is no walking this one back. Too many people saw the destruction in Kenosha. Comparing to it Minneapolis is joke.

CNN really blew it with this one.

There you go again, resuscitating a thread that was going to be locked in 3 more days. And once again this is nothing more than a rehash of what has gone before. There is no new information here. The protests have been mostly peaceful. Posting pictures of fires does not change that. The protests have been much more peaceful than, say, the ones in 1967 where much large parts of cities burned.

Since you are parcing words, how about all the rioting ,looting ,destruction that continues and has been declared by these paid thugs, will continue until at least after the election. Are these peaceful? Have the Dem run cities gotten a handle on this violence,or actually allowed it to continue at the expense and livelihood of the very citizens they are supposed to protect? It vile

I don’t know as any of it is being done by paid thugs.
will continue until at least after the election.
I have not looked at my Ouija Board lately, so I cannot confirm if they will last until the election or not.

The discussion of who could handle this violence best is a separate topic best discussed in another thread. Right now the question is whether the protests for racial justice are generally peaceful, and they are.

This is from Wikipedia, and I think they stop counting a long time ago. Is this what mostly peaceful means?

Deaths, arrests and damages
Death(s) Over 19[a]
Arrested 14,000+[3]
Property damage $500 million in Minneapolis–Saint Paul (mid June)[4]

How does not compare to the number in the protest? You know, it only takes a few people to start fires and cause damage. The vast majority of protesters were peaceful, and your statistics on damages (much less than in 1967) do not say otherwise.

‘Fiery but mostly peaceful’: CNN torn apart over ‘embarrassing’ caption

CNN is getting roasted for describing protests in the US state of Wisconsin as “fiery but mostly peaceful” during a live broadcast – while a building behind the reporter was engulfed in flames.

So burning down a building is a “peaceful” demonstration, phew, for a moment it had me thinking more violence.

I started a thread on this back on August 27.
