Nepperhan (implicitly attempting to impug President Trump’s motives – the usual spoof) . . .
It would be more to the point to ask if Trump and the Republicans or the Democrats had their interests in mind.
It would be more to the point to answer that Trump had America’s interests in mind, Black, White, etc. That’s the whole point of “Make America Great Again”.

Why do you use words I didn’t say?
Seems you are misrepresenting me

I would suggest black folks in America came out in force to vote for Uncle Joe. And there is no migration to Trump that will happen

You are probably right.

But I still stand by everything I have said here.

Maximus1 . . .
And there is no migration to Trump that will happen
It is already happening.

@Nepperhan . . .

Once again (from last night),

I would also tell them if they dare vote conservative, watch how the left treats those Blacks Americans. See for yourself.

.

This just reported this morning . . . .

Spike Lee Compares Black Trump Supporters to House Slaves

4 Mar 2020 Breitbart News

Hollywood director Spike Lee took to Instagram to attack a group of black Donald Trump supporters, essentially comparing them to house slaves.

On Monday, the BlackkKlansman director remarked on a photo of several black civic and religious leaders praying with President Trump inside the White House. Lee used the photo as an opportunity to attack both the president and his guests.

“Massa, We Love You, Massa. We Gonna Pray Fo’ You Massa”. Singing- “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” Lee wrote smearing the Trump supporters with racial language; “massa” being how some slaves referred to slave masters. . . . .

. . . It appears that Lee is insulting many more Americans than he realizes.

Those in attendance at Trump’s meeting were Alveda King, actor Isaiah Washington, World Boxing Champion Andre Berto, former NFL player and entrepreneur Jack Brewer, Pastor Darrell Scott, Lynette Hardaway, and Rochelle Richardson, a.k.a. “Diamond and Silk,” Black Voices for Trump advisory board members Paris Denard, Deneen Borelli, and David Harris Jr., and author and activist Candace Owens.

Just what I would expect from the left.

It is Spike Lee who said it. Unless he changed his name to The Left

Go ahead and criticize him Maximus1.

You had your chance and didn’t.

But now I am giving you another opportunity for you to say how Lee is out of line here ripping into Black Trump supporters.

And how Lee should allow these Black Americans
to make their own decisions including Black America moving toward President Trump without being insulted.

So go ahead . . . .

Maximus1 on me giving him the opportunity to denounce Spike Lee’s attack against Black Americans that support President Trump and the vile hate-slave-language that Lee used against these Black Americans that readers can see for themselves directly from Lee in the article.
I don’t want my opportunity.
So be it.

CNN or MSNBC the other day had a panel of African
Americans shaming those African Americans who
support Trump.

I lost respect for Spike Lee long ago. He might be a good director, but he really does a disservice to himself when he speaks out like this. He comes off as prejudiced and not too bright. He sounds backwards. A bullhorn for the left. He needs to stick to movie making

Lee has a right to make comments on the race as he sees fit. Actually, his argument does have some merit … With Trump’s history of relations with minorities, it is a wonder how any minority group member could support him.

Mr. Lee was wrong previously to criticize “Driving Miss Daisy” but he was right about the ‘Madeah’ series. Spike is just being Spike.

Anyone who disagrees with him should point out where he is wrong, not just plop his comments and say that the world is about to end.

Well I’ll be switched.

Orange really IS the new black then!

🤔 How many first black Presidents do we get to have?

We’re on our third one now, and the closest we’ve really come is the 1/2 black guy twice.

Maybe the NFL guy meant the first real good one (if you’re not hung up on pigment). < 😒 that last word is not my fault.

I never quite got why Bill Clinton got called (or annointed) that … BY people who really were black too … at a time when he was scandal ridden in the press.

I’m taking it as the NFL guy likes Trump so much he considers him family or something. Sort of like the movie Blind Side turned inside out! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

In these days where the media accepts people identifying as things human senses tell you they’re not – is this the next step through the looking glass? OTHERS can now identify you as what you … (don’t SEEM to be … in the eyes of people “whose values are stuck in the past”).

 - maybe I AM not open minded enough. After all, at his rallies sometimes Trump is beginning to SOUND like Muhammad Ali for seconds at a time.

With my eyes closed I can still discern his voice from Maxine Waters’ though.

Nepperhan . . .
Lee has a right to make comments on the race as he sees fit.
Irrelevant.

I never said he has no “right”. (Do YOU think “slave-talk” to black people is OK?? I don’t.)

I said when a segment of Black America supports Trump, the left disparages them. Not “all” the left, but a significant portion.

And the left DOES DISPARAGE Black Americans who are more conservative. That’s just an observable fact.

.

Nepperham making excuses here . . . .
Anyone who disagrees with him should point out where he is wrong . . .
Go back and read what I said.

I pointed out where he was wrong.
not . . . say that the world is about to end.
Good grief. The melodramatics here from you are pretty high.

There was a time when hip-hop celebs compared their rising status of wealth and success to Donald Trump.

One thing Trump has going for him is that he is not known for incarcerating members of the black community.
However, Trump does need to separate himself from McConnell and his ilk and bring more black minorities into cabinet leadership positions.

Black voters don’t relate to the current candidates. I don’t believe that black voters related to Hilary in 2016, either. In 2016, the lack of motivation by minority voters to go and cast a ballot impacted the election and resulted in Pres. Trump being elected.

That said, black elders know what Biden is about as a democrat and see Sanders as a somewhat radical crossover. Middle age and young black voters also question Biden’s true politic toward the black community, and get that Sanders is making many promises that someone has to pay for.

When Sanders speaks of universal medicine, he forgets that a disproportionate number of black community members have experienced social programs like Medicaid and Medicare and the disparities are astounding between black and white recipients in these programs.

Sanders speaks of universal health care, but will it actually improve the quality of care for (black) minorities, or just result in higher payroll taxes while the lack of effective care remains?

And since comparatively few minorities, (blacks, Hispanics and Asians) support the GOP, we can ask if Republicans support minority rights, if the party has been hostile to minorities and if Republicans have found it worth their while to support people and policies hostile to minority Americans.
Hmmm, are minority communities waking up to the hostility that they have received at the hands of the dems? Incarceration, stop and frisk, etc are big issues in the minority communities. Incarceration sucks the money and life right out of the minority communities.

On top of that, many times incarcerations are due to drug offenses. Sad to say, but we’ve occupied Afghanistan for how many years now and it wasn’t to long after the US moved in that the nation went from #6 in opium production to #1 in production globally.

If the GOP would kick the remnants of the Southern Strategy to the curb and become the party of Lincoln once again, it would find a loyal, undeterred political base in minority communities.

And the left DOES DISPARAGE Black Americans who are more conservative. That’s just an observable fact.
I think the left disparages viewpoints. Did you see the reaction to Colin Powell? Few (save Harry Belafonte) criticized him.

Nepperhan (suggesting to me anyway that the left does not disparage the Black conservatives as a whole. Just the Black conservatives viewpoint) . . .
I think the left disparages viewpoints.
Sure.
“Massa, We Love You, Massa. We Gonna Pray Fo’ You Massa”. Singing- “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” Lee wrote smearing the Trump supporters with racial language–Spike Lee

Any member of the oppressed class who takes on the views of the oppressor can rightly be called an ‘Uncle Tom’. Conservatives never had the freedom of black people (or integration) as a major conservative issue. Never. In 1960 the GOP had a plank on its platform that “All Negroes should be shipped back to Africa” before calmer opinions prevailed. Fact. The Civil Rights movement was a program among progressives, no matter how much conservatives and Republicans try to hijack it today.

So is supporting conservative views by blacks akin to supporting Ol Massa? In a way and historically, surely. As I said, Mr. Lee has a point. Anyone can comment but we’re going to have to let black folks decide if Spike went overboard criticizing black folks.
