This might sound crazy, but being the good Irish blooded being Iam, I decided to look at how Ireland in general came to be. The results I found were pretty…interesting. Long story short, there were two groups called the Fir Bolg and Tuatha De Danann that inhabited the land before a group of spainards came. The two groups are described to be “magical” creatures and the Tuatha De Danann are said to have left Ireland, having been defeated, by entering mounds in the earth that transported them to the alternate universe of faerie (such as the mound at Newgrange, Ireland). Doing some more reasearch on the Tuatha De Danann, I found that apparently members of the world of faerie are apparently usually fearful of Catholic priests and prayers, because they supposedly fear the consequences of their sins. My first reactions were a set of questions:
- Are humans the only ones who can enter Heaven, Purgatory, of Hell?
- Is it possible for otherwordly creatures to exist. At first glance you may be skeptical (like I was), but why is it so hard to believe something could exist when we believe angels and other heavenly things exist.
