I have been praying for the conversion of my sister and brother-in-law for years. They are born-agains, and have now moved from attacking me to being hungry for more and more Catholic information, especially my brother-in-law. I am very encouraged, however he had a question today which stumped me He asked me if a non-catholic can go to confession.
I told him I thought I remembered Fr Grochel saying he had heard confessions of all manner of people, however it was not considered a sacrament for them, no actual pardon, but was somehow very freeing for them in any case. Is this true?
