I am not trying to be rude, disrespectful, or anything negative. I was wondering what brought all the non-Catholics to this website. How did you learn of the site? What do you use it for? I ask with the utmost respect.
I can’t remember how I learned about it. I have learned quite a bit about the Church and now in discussions I find myself saying something like " but if I was a Catholic I would say this" in rebuttal! Not sure any of you want me defending your positions!I am not trying to be rude, disrespectful, or anything negative. I was wondering what brought all the non-Catholics to this website. which is what? you can say a lot of things about CA posters. but, arrogant, i think not…It has helped me gain appreciation for my own Church and beliefs.
I assume you’re being sarcastic… lolyou can say a lot of things about CA posters. but, arrogant, i think not…
I am a convert and I used to feel the same way when reading apologetics or anything about the Catholic Church or the Catholic faith - that some posters were arrogant towards the non-Catholics. I think I see now they feel very strongly about defending the faith and firmly believe the Catholic Church was started by Jesus Christ. I have been Catholic now almost 10 years so I look at it from a different perspective than when I was a new convert.Wannano:![]()

No worries, dude. As long as you’re asking, you’re ok by my book!I am not trying to be rude, disrespectful, or anything negative.
Randy Carson… I think that’s his name… let me try to look him up…I was wondering what brought all the non-Catholics to this website.
He went to my more usual hangout, atheistforums.org, and invited some to come here… I came, I saw… I got banned, unbanned… then forgot about this place and recently was reminded about it by another catholic there. How did you learn of the site? What do you use it for? I ask with the utmost respect.
Been asked numerous times over the decade I’ve been here, but two:I am not trying to be rude, disrespectful, or anything negative. I was wondering what brought all the non-Catholics to this website. How did you learn of the site? What do you use it for? I ask with the utmost respect.
I also think something was lost with the new format. There was something special about the other one, which lent itself to better fellowship. But I guess things cant be forever.Been asked numerous times over the decade I’ve been here, but two:
- I enjoy conversation about faith. I believe I have more in common with Catholicism than with the American evangelicals that dominate Other forums. Plus, at least until the new format, CAF used to be far more charitable than forums like CARM.
