I was brought up and raised a United Methodist. My parents are dyed-in-the wool Methodists.
I have attended a number of churches in my adulthood. I currently attend an Assembly of God church.
I am not a pure Pentecostal/Charismatic though. I guess I can best describe myself theologically as Wesleyan with a Pentecostal/Charismatic influence. John Wesley is one of my Protestant heros.
Should I ever move, I will give serious thought to returning to the Methodist church of my youth, particularly if the church is theologically conservative like my parent’s church in Florida (the Methodist churches in New England are predominantly theologically liberal).
